Rating: Summary: Great Book Lots of fun. Review: If you like Futuristic Books you will love this I hope she writes more of these books There are 3 of them that I know of and they are all great this is the middle one. Heart of a Warrior is the last one and Warrior's Woman was the first one.
Rating: Summary: Disgraceful Review: This foolish book is nothing more than a justification, in fictional form, for hitting women and keeping them subservient to men. And for the indoctrination of women into this abusive practice, for they all accept it as being for their own good. Don't waste your time.
Rating: Summary: Farden terrific! Review: I loved this book! The couple had great chemistry! Of course the spanking scene made me want to kill Falon, but it didn't take away anything from the book. You must read it!
Rating: Summary: WHAT A LOVE IT IS Review: Loved this book. The hero was a hunk he was so big and stong. The heroine was a bit of a brat but I was at least glad to see her get punished for it. This is a story of true love meant to be. The hero "knocks the socks off" the heroine. I would give anything to be with a guy that dreamy. And for the record, there is no "wife beating" in this story. My father spanks me AND my mother(with a belt) when we do something wrong and he is certainly not a wife beater. Women and children both need to be kept in line for their own safety.
Rating: Summary: INSULTING TO WOMEN EVERYWHERE Review: I found this book to be disturbing. The author is obviously obsessed with the punishment of women because the subject was discussed constantly throughout the book. In fact, it seemed to be the book's main focus. And for those of you who say "It's just a book!" remember that it is still justifying spousal abuse and is having an effect on impressionable young minds. One reviewer actually said that the spanking scene was no big deal because children are spanked all the time. I guess that person naturally equates women with children. Great to hear that kind of forward thinking! Read it only if you get a cheap thrill out of the heroine's getting roughly spanked while screaming in pain, because the story itself is quite weak. And the sad part is that I'm sure many people will buy this book based on this review.
Rating: Summary: Do not waste your money! Review: In my opinon this has got to be the most stupidest book i have ever read, I have read Johanna Lindsey books befor ein the past and thought i would give her a try , big mistake. wouldnt recomend this book. This is just my opinion!
Rating: Summary: Great book. Review: I recently re-read Keeper of the Heart, and I must say it is just a good book. I would recommend reading Warrior's Woman first to learn the story of Shanelle's parents but this book can stand on its own with no problem. I know some people had a hard time with the spanking and the punishments the warriors handed out, but I didn't. I guess I'm sort of kinky but spanking is not a turn off, its not even a punishment, more like foreplay. And in this world where I have to be a strong woman all the time and show no indecision or weakness, its nice to lose myself in a world where the men are so protective and headstrong. And I think deep down, though Shanelle is a strong woman too, she likes having a big, strong man worry about her and take care of her. I would highly recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: A Home-Run! Review: The second in the trilogy, this is every bit as fabulous as the first book, Warrior's Woman. Would recommend reading the third book first, however, Heart of A Warrior because it explains so many of the customs, culture and ways of this strange planet. (It is not, however, as wonderful as the first two books.) Keeper of the Heart is a winner and is guaranteed to make you read it more than once! It makes you believe you really are there.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Enchanting! Review: Let me begin by saying that I usually rate books very liberally-I either love it or trash it to pieces. The reason I gave "Keeper of the Heart" only four stars instead of five is because...yes, the spanking. I don't see why the males in the society take it upon themselves to discipline the females if they feel the female has "endangered herself". Since turnabout is fair play, does this mean that if the guys in this world endanger THEMSELVES, that their lifemates can turn them over their knees and give them a good thrashing? After all, the women would just be "protecting" their men, just as their men are trying to "protect" them. Shanelle, it's time to turn Falon over and start hitting that pretty bum he has!I loved the book, I loved the chemistry between Shanelle and Falon, but the punishments in this world really got to me. Tedra, Shanelle's mother, is such a proud woman, and strong as heck. She takes the punishments of sexual frustration? I know, I'm complaining like crazy, but Lindsey has a history of creating the ultimate arrogant, powerful male; a man that's strong and smart, but too arrogant for his own good. And, of course, the males she creates always have LOTS of sexual experience, while the women are always feisty virgins. But the plot seems to work every time for me.
Rating: Summary: What was she thinking? Review: I love to read Johanna Lindsey's books but this one lacked something. Shanelle the heroine was scared to death of pain of any sort but in her home planet the men ruled and got to punish their women something along the way of leaving wanting sexual satisfaction and sheer toture for them well anyway Shanelle had to pick a "Lifemate" but in Falon's land they believed also in punishing there women but with spankings AHHH!! like they were some naughty children and don't know what is good or bad like if they themselves were so superior again Ahhh!! that was the only wrong thing with the book the thought of a man treating his wife like a bad kid is just plain silly. The book was kind like a Scotish Historical novel with Larid's and clan but with "punishment". Other than that the book was Okay.
