Summary: Nice escapism - except for the spanking
Review: This was a nice book - nothing more, nothing less. Just nice escapism, which by and large is what I want from a romance novel. The characters were mostly believable and likable. I must admit that the famous "spanking scene" did bother and I'm glad that other reviewers have objected to it. Because of this scene I have removed a whole star from my rating! I am old enough to remember a time when these scenes were commonplace in books and movies. They were considered harmless and amusing. Nobody objected. But there is no doubt in my mind that these scenes encouraged many men to beat there wives in real life. I was married in the early sixties and being put across your husband's knee was just a hazard of married life! Nobody talked about it much but it definitely went on. And it is not true that spanking only hurts the pride - although it certainly does that. Spanking hurts. I'm not saying that a spanking is necessarily the same as wife abuse, or that it is never justified - but I do think that we don't need to reinforce the idea that its a perfectly reasonable way to punish an adult woman.

Summary: Another Opinion
Review: Not as good as Warrior's Woman, but worth the time to read. Not a big fan of Si-fi, except in movies, I still enjoyed reading this one. The parts with the computers really help make this story. The start is kind of slow, but gets better. Read it and decide for yourself.

Summary: Didn't Enjoy One Bit
Review: Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this trite and boring storyline. Like Bertrice Small, Johanna Lindsey is very popular and like Bertrice Small, she is writing less favourably these days. She's losing her punch. I was bored.

Summary: Great Read!!!
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed Keeper of the Heart, even more than Warrior's Woman and I understand Dalden's book will be out in May!! Can't wait! I loved Falon and Shanelle, and yes I know some are upset over the spanking scenes. It was no big deal and he had warned her that she would be spanked if she put herself in danger! I loved the ending when her parents came and then the scene between Martha and Brock! Hope Johanna will bring all of them back and let us know what they are doing! To all of you who didn't like the spanking, it will be interesting to see if Shanelle has gotten another one!:)

Summary: Immersed
Review: I curled up on the couch intending to read a few chapters but I got so immersed that I couldn't put it down and ended up reading it all in one go. I have since read it again. It is wonderful escapism. The hero is an absolute fantasy and is a perfect match for the heroine. As for the controversial "spanking" scene, I didn't find it in any way unpleasant. Yes, spanking can also be called hitting or beating, but come on, there's a big difference between a slap on the bottom and a punch on the jaw. I don't think that I'm the only woman in the world who enjoys stories about spirited heroines being "tamed" by strong men. I don't think I'm the only woman who likes a man to be capable of putting his foot down and meaning it without being abusive. I don't want to read bland stories with wimpy heroes. Johanna Lindsey is right not to bow to politcal correctness on this one.

Summary: Sequel to Warrior's Woman
Review: Shanelle is the daughter of Tedra and Challen. Raised on her father's world, she understands a woman's role. But as her mother's daughter, she is determined to find her own place. Although she respects warriors, she doesn't want to marry one. Upon returning home from visiting her mother's home planet, she discovers that there is a competition going on. What is not known to her is that the winner will probably be the man her father chooses to marry her off to. While watching the competition, she is drawn to a foreigner. Falon has the height and strength of a warrior, but is different enough to draw Shanelle's attention. She gives herself to him, but when he loses control, she is frightened off. Despite her incredible attraction to him, she runs. Now Falon must show her that he is the man for her.

This story is another scifi romance which is exciting and imaginative. Shanelle is not as confident as her mother and must become her own person. Falon is every woman's fantasy: handsome, strong, tender, caring, and not afraid to admit his love to the woman he proclaims is the keeper of his heart. A great addition to your Lindsey library.

Summary: Big disappointment!
Review: Maybe I expect too much from this genre of book. There was essentially no story, characters were seemingly added at random, many contributing nothing to the story line but rather just to lengthen the book. The heroine did not inspire any positive emotions and there weren't even any stimulating romantic intervals! Maybe the author should concentrate on quality instead of quantity (she is quite prolific) but this book has soured me on reading any others.

Summary: Very good:
Review: Wow, that is what this book leaves you with! I had picked up this book at least 3 times, skimmed through it, and threw it aside, because I don't like anything but historical usually. But, because I like Johanna Lindsey, I HAD to read it, and I loved it! Matter of fact now I've read it 3 times and would read it again! Johanna has a way of leaving you wanting more after a read and I too wonder about the other characters in the book and hope, hope, hope she writes a sequel to this book. I found the spanking scenes to be most erotic, I am tired of the heros always wimping out on us! Don't have to worry about that with Ms. Lindsey's books! I love them and will continue to read everything she writes. More spankings Lindsey! Yeah!

Summary: No, no, no, no....
Review: 'Keeper of The heart' is a sequel to 'Warriors Woman'. Let metell you, Warrior's Woman is EXCELLENT! I've read it more than 50times and I still love it. It's very funny, crazy and sexy. You'll roll around laughing, believe me. I LOVE the book. So that's why I look forward to reading 'Keeper of the Heart', to see what happened to the offsprings of the characters in 'Warrior's Woman'. Boy, was I VERY disappointed! 'Keeper of The heart' is a very poor imitation of the parent book. There is no strength in plot, in fact, there's no serious plot at all! To me, Shanelle is weak, empty and airheaded. I skip the first few pages because it's boring. Then I started skipping more pages. Then I ended up throwing the book under the bed without even bothering to read the end.

So my advice? Read 'Warrior's woman' first. THEN read 'Keeper of The Heart' and you'll find yourself agreeing with me.

Summary: Don't waste your time!
Review: Contrary to the opinions of previous reviewers, I give this book one star. If I could go lower, I would. This was one of the worst books I have ever read. I am appalled by this "novel".

This piece of literature is the sequel to Warriors Woman. I do not understand how Ms. Lindsey can go from writing such a beautiful novel as Warriors Woman, to write one such as this. All the characters of her earlier novel are also in this one, but their roles have changed. They are not the same characters we loved.

This story is about Challen and Tedra's daughter, Shanelle. She meets a visiting warrior, Falon Van'Yer. They are supposedly drawn to one another upon their first meeting. Love at first sight. We are then taken through almost 400 pages of extremely boring text, until they reach "Happily Ever After".

The story line is very poor. The story itself does not make much sense. The main characters are very unlikable. I recommend that you do not waste your time or effort.
