Rating: Summary: Thank god for Lindsey, she's done it again!!! Review: This book has excellent characters, good plot,a realistic ending, and it continued the Man of my Dreams book (which I personally liked) I have all of Johanna Lindsey's books and I have yet to be disappointed. And I probably never will. I highly recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Read Review: This book is wonderful! It seemed like a breath of fresh air for romance enthusiasts who are tired of the same ol' kidnap/runaway/lover's fighting plotlines that we have come to know and love.Lachlan is one of my favorite heroes, saying and doing all the right things for Kimberly, and I LOVED the fact that he calls her "Kimber". It was such an endearing nick name whenever he used it. Kimberly is a perfect heroin, someone we can all picture ourselves as. She isn't beautiful, but she isn't ugly either, just *normal*. At first, Lachlan doesn't notice her for she is outshined by the magnificent beauty of the Duchess of Wrothson, but little by little, he *does* begin to notice and I thought that is more like what happens in real life. They never bicker, she doesn't run away, nor is she kidnapped, and the book is wrapped up nicely by the end, not just within the last 5 paragraphs as we have come to expect of other romance novels. Finally, we have a heroin who isn't a beauty, a man who sees how beautiful she is despite her plainness, and an all around feel-good love story that will make you wish Lachlan MacGregor was a real man. If you haven't read this one, I strongly suggest you do. It is a sequel to "Man of My Dreams", yet I believe it is 10 times better.

Rating: Summary: A fitting sequel to Man of My Dreams! Review: This book was a juicy read. This book focuses on the rogue highwayman Lachlan introduced in MAN OF MY DREAMS, and adds an interesting herione. Their first meeting certainly isn't love at first sight, but gives a good starting point for the rest of the ride. The addition of a jealous female suitor, an ironic plot twisiting coincidence, and a new identity discovered all make for a read that is very hard to put down. Just when you think the story can't twist any more, another situation adds a laugh and layer to the story. There's more than one sub plot here, and each adds a rich thread to the book. If you liked MAN OF MY DREAMS this is a fitting, even a little bit better, sequel.
Rating: Summary: Nothing New..... Review: This book was bland. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good. It was simply bland. The story didn't really have anything intresting happen. No big crisis or argument. There was one thing I didn't really like, when Lachlan gets into Kimberly's bed only about 2 days after they'd met and Kimberly not actually realizing what was happening. To me, that just isn't romantic. But then, that's just my personal opinion.
Rating: Summary: A Good Read Review: This is a much better book than Man of My Dreams (where Lachlan was first introduced) just because the characters are more developed. Lachlan's character is more three dimensional than most male characters of this genre--it shows his sensitivity, his humor, and vulnerability without missing the fact that he is a totally alpha male. Kimberly's character on the other hand had just the right mixture of spirit, temper and timidity expected in females during this era without making her into a shrew or making her weak and submissive. The only quibble I have of this book is the sheer number of coincidence(s). First, that the nephew of Devlin's aunt who needed assistance in finding a wife turns out to be Lachlan. Second, that Kimberly happens to arrive at the same time as Lachlan looking for a husband--although one of my friend insists this means "fate" needed to seal the romantic angle. Third, Kimberly's soon to be stepmother turns out to be the long lost stepmother of Lachlan. Finally, the revelation of Kimberly's real father and the scene with Nessa were not really vital to the story and could have easily sunk the book--as it is I merely found these a distraction from the two main characters. Luckily enough, these work for the book especially since Ms. Lindsey is such a strong writer. If you need a good book to pass the time this one is a sure bet--it has the requisite conflict and the right amount of romance to make you sigh and believe in happy ever-afters. If you're looking for tortured souls, and agonizing moral dilema that stirs the sould pass this one up--there is none in here. All in all its an entirely enjoyable book with very likeable characters.
Rating: Summary: Great story, you don't want it to end. Review: This is a really good book that made me laugh. The love scenes are done very well and the story is not predictable. I wish the author would have gone into more detail towards the ending. It ended too quickly like she was in a hurry to finish the book. Other than that, it's great!
Rating: Summary: A Sequel That Is Better Than The Original Review: This is a sequel to Man of My Dreams, and it is a better book. In Man of My Dreams, we meet the Duke, Devlin, and Megan who becomes his wife. Towards the end of that book, they have an unpleasant encounter with Lachlan, the hero of this book. Ms. Lindsey teases the reader with wanting to know him better, and in this book, we surely get to do that. It is a wonderful story and different from so many others, in that the heroine of this book, Kimberly, is not described in breath-taking terms, she seems like someone to whom the vast majority of us can relate. She becomes more and more likable as the book progresses. Another really great thing about the book is the chance to find out what happens to Devlin and Megan, as well as his Aunt and Grandmother Duchy. There seem to be no wasted words or plots in this book, everything is tied together in neat packages in the end. It is a delightful story and well worth reading, with plenty of dry humor.
Rating: Summary: An average romance story. Review: This is a typical romance type book. It is good but nothing out of the ordinary. If you are like me and go through books like water, this book is worth reading. However, for those who have limited time or are wanting something Great, it might be better to pick out something else.
Rating: Summary: I LOVE THIS BOOK AND MAN OF MY DREAMS! Review: This is a wonderful sequel to Man of My Dreams! I feel in love with Devlin in the last book and was so happy to see him in another! This Book is wonderful but make sure you read Man of My Dreams first, they are both really great!
