Rating: Summary: A sad but realistic account of one man's true love. Review: Love Story by Erich Segal is a messmarizing story of two people who love eachother throughout their time together. From beginning to end, the wonderful words brought tears to my eyes and laughter to my mouth. I recommend this light, short book to anyone. It can be read in a few sittings, and is worth every penny spent on it.
Rating: Summary: A story to be remembered Review: Being in love means you never have to say you're sorry are words to live by. I read this book before I saw the movie. They both made me cry. For those who like to be moved when reading a book this is the one for you to pick up. Two kids from opposite sides of the tracks come together, you'll be able to see yourself in one of the characters. Curl up with this book on a cold winter night or when your laying down in the warm summer sun. Either way it will be memorable.
Rating: Summary: I CRIED!!! Review: This book shows what "love" really means. Two people who were SO opposite can really click that way. As a 15 year old girl, my mother recommended this book to me, and I know I will be eternaly greatful. This book has changed the way I look at romance novels.
Rating: Summary: "A Great Love Story" Review: I loved this novel by Erich Segal. This book should be read by college students. It was hard to put the book down. As you get to the end you will realize how much Oliver and Jennifer love each other. If you liked the movie "Titanic" then you will love reading "Love Story."
Rating: Summary: Hello!!! Review: When I reed Love Story at the first time, I coudn't imagine anything better!!! When the end was near, I cried!!! That was so sad!!! Now I shoud do my school work about it!!! Wish me a luck!!! Sanni from Finland!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book! Review: Great book! My friends and I passed it around till all of us had read it. Recommend it to anyone!
Rating: Summary: The best love story (I) ever read Review: This book is just more then a 'popping' love stories we read now a days! This is among the very few books i read COVER TO COVER in one sitting.
Rating: Summary: Makes Me a Believer in Love . . . . Review: A wonderfully poignant little tale. I've read it several times and, incomprehensible though it may seem, the magical quality endures. Despite the years of socialization into the inappropriateness of tears for the masculine gender, and despite a naturally cynical bent of mind, I must admit that I bawled like a baby when I arrived, for the first time, at the heart-breaking ending. The book's quality lies in the fact that though the protagonists, Oliver and Jenny, have experiences far-removed from our own, we nevertheless identify with them with an instinctive ease. This book ranks right up there with Neil Ravin's "M.D." as one of the best novels I've ever had the honor of reading.
Rating: Summary: Crap Review: Clumsy and unreadable claptrap for self-congratulatory sold-out Volvo-driving baby-boomers who think buying Ben and Jerry's ice cream means they're rebels. A book only Al Gore would want to be the inspiration for.
Rating: Summary: No matter how many times I read it, it makes me cry. Review: I first read this book (it was my father's copy) when I was 15, and even then it was powerful. Every year I read it again, and I find something in that I didn't find the last time(s). It is the most touching book I have ever read, and I have made everyone close to me read it.
