Summary: True love that only comes a couple of times in life.
Review: Oliver's love was true in this story. No one would of ever guessed when Oliver and Jenny had difficulty in making a baby, it was because Jenny was dying of cancer. That was such a shock to Oliver, he didn't tell Jenny. Love becomes the strongest when everything is taken out of the picture and there is only emotional identity. Jenny and Oliver have a certain chemistry not all people have. Call it what you want, but that's special. When Jenny dies of cancer, Oliver died spiritually. Oliver asked himself at the end of the second book what he would be if Jenny were alive. And then he answered: he would also be alive.

Summary: A typical love story modernized for all to relate with.
Review: Erich Segal takes in a ordinary love story and adds spice to liven it up. Two characters with opposite personalities but the same love for one another plays off the plot well. I can get a feel for their strong attractions and even deep sacrifices for one another. I found the constant sarcasm between the two characters quite entertaining. This book is very much so modernized, with the two married and trying to get through college without any help from their parents. Like all love stories, this book ends with something that conclusively impacts any reader. Segal is also typical in his "love story" to end with a tragic ending. From the last three chapters, I got my own personal treat from this book. It gave me the opportunity to relate and somehow be a part of this love story also. Of course I won't tell you all the ending, but I can honestly say I really enjoyed this book. I would definitely recommend it to all readers who wants to find their own relation with the book. The life lesson it taught me was to appreciate those that I love and mostly those that are still existing before me (*hint, hint).

Review: I liked Love Story by: Erich Segal. I wouldn't recomend this book for children any younger than twelve years old. Although I would recomend this book for girls or guys older than twelve. I think it was small in porportion, although it had a big picture. I sort of understand why some schools would ban it. It did have a lot of swearing in it. It also had some not so good profain talk. I really enjoyed the book. I have never read a book quite like Love story though! At first it was a little hard to understand, but after you read the first two or three chapters it becomes more clear. I hope you will take this advice and read this book. Summary: I rarely cry, but I did when I read this
Review: When someone suggested this book, I thought "what an easy read! I don't want to read this", but I did read it; and i was wrong. Very rarely have I seen a book that can touch your core so brilliantly then this book did mine. I cried through the last three chapters, and cried sporadically for the next three days! Indescribable joy, loss, passion and love. One of the best.

Summary: You won't want to put it down!
Review: My mom suggested that I read this book. As a 17 year old who constanly questions life and love, I found this book to be not only a tale of the love of two people, but a guide. The book is deep and profound. It made me think about love and the role love plays in people's lives. I got the book from the library to take with me on vacation. While on vacation, I went to the beach late one afternoon. I sat on the beach and began to read the book. Two hours later, as the sun was setting, I has finished the book and was crying. I have now bought the book and plan on taking it to college with me!

Review: I got this book and had no idea what it was about. After I read it the first time I got it for all my friends too. His other books are great but none really compare to this one!

Summary: I really tried to like this book
Review: I've always wanted to read this book and finally got around to it. I really, honestly tried to like this book. The story was great. However, I was very turned off by Jenny and Oliver constantly badmouthing each other, even if it was in jest. I had hoped that since this was a near 30 year old book that the language wouldn't be all foul like so many new books. Not so! My last thought with this book was that it was very unfortunate for Jenny to die, especially because she was an atheist and her final desination was hell. That makes me very sad.
