Rating: Summary: Nice read Review: I liked this one very much, I think its great "chick lit". The characters don't all start out as ones you would like but they all go though their own journeys. I shared this book with my friends.
Rating: Summary: Enjoyable Review: The story kept me involved from start to finish. I wanted to figure out what sort of mess these girls would get themselves into next. I really liked the way that each chapter provided a different perspective. It certainly proves the point that no two people see things the exact same way.Other reviewers said that the characters annoyed them. I can understand that. At some parts you just want to shake a character and ask, "why did you do that?" But, for the most part, their flaws are what keeps the book interesting. I almost gave this book 4 stars because I did enjoy the story, but poor editing knocked my rating down a notch.
Rating: Summary: weak and unbelievable Review: The characters and their relationships were totally unbelievable. Everybody was really irritating. Overall, a weak story. Not even a good beach read...
Rating: Summary: Try not to read it too fast Review: This is the first book I read by Sarah Mlynowski and I loved it. You have to pace yourself reading this book least you read it all in one day. This a true to life story of the twenty-something crowd. Three roommates with nothing in common expect paying the rent move in together. I love how it's told from each of their point of view. They bug each other but must come together when the burn up their kitchen. The plan posh party with heavy cover charges to foot the bill. The more parties they throw the more they are forced to interact and actully see the real side of their roommate. For anyone who's had roommates before this is a must read.
Rating: Summary: Kept me intersted! Review: I thought that this book was realistic about how college students and thier roomates interact. I think that all the characters were well devloped and had great personalities of thier own. I really enjoy how each chapter was from a different persective. It kept me wanted to know what the others thought about what was going on. It's a really freash idea, and a great fun read.
Rating: Summary: I really like Mlynowski... Review: I've read "Milkrun" and had to read this one too. I like the way she writes and talks about sex. Her characters are not intimidated by sex. I've never had roommates and after reading this book I still don't want any. This was a fun read and I look forward to her next book.
Rating: Summary: Ms. Mlynowski does it again! Review: LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!!!! This book is hilarious. It made me reminisce about the period of time when I lived with two drastically different roommates in a 3 bedroom apt. This novel unfolds around three women who share living arrangements, don't really get along & then accidentally burn down their kitchen Unfortunately NONE of them have renter's insurance; so the reader is lavished with many wacky 'get rich quick' schemes as the girls try to pay off the $10,000 remodeling bill so their landlord won't find out about the fire and sue them. Did I mention I LOVE this book? As the ladies try to work, attend school, and oh yea, raise the $10,000, they learn a lot about each other and build strong bonds despite their differences. YOU will LOVE this book, too :)
Rating: Summary: If your looking for a fun, non serious book, this is it..... Review: I loved the book, I thought it was a lot of fun (although a bit unrealistic, but hey isn't that why we read these books. To escape our real-life). I can't wait to read "Milkrun" now!!!
Rating: Summary: Who was the most annoying? Review: At the recommendation of my roommates, I felt I had to read "Fishbowl." Like in this novel, I live with 2 roommates. It was fun trying to decide which of us was Allie, Jodine, or Emma, but in the end I decided we all had bits and pieces of each girl in us. I have to admit though, for the most part, the characters were really annoying, but I just had to keep turning the pages to see who would be most annoying next! I don't feel that the plot was totally believable, such as how easily they raised the $10,000. Most people I know wouldn't pay $20 for a Halloween party at a bar, when they can go to another bar for free!! As for the seminar, those guys were pretty pathetic for paying $40 to listen to Emma talk for an hour. And the ending is way too predictable...of course they all forgive and forget and become friends in the end! Come on now...
Rating: Summary: Great & Fast Read... Review: A beach read indeed! This was a fast paced and very humorous story! The characters we all so different, and had to stick together to get through their problems. A great book with friendship, love and laughs. The ending was kinda blah... but definitely recommended!!
