Summary: Great!
Review: I really liked Tina St. Johns first story "Lord of Vengeance" and was eagerly waiting for "Lady of Valor". I was NOT disappointed! This story is terrific.

Lady Emmalyn has been taking care of herself and Fallonmour for the 3yrs her husband has been away on crusade. Sir Cabal has been taking care of himself all his life. Cabal is the cold, hard, determined warrior called Blackheart. These 2 strong people are thrown together thru circumstance; Lord Garretts death on crusade, King Richards trust in Sir Cabal, and the threat from Prince John and Lord Hugh. Slowly an uneasy truce forms as Emmalyn and Cabal realize they both care very much for Fallonmour and its people,(and for each other!) Trusting any man is frightening for Emmalyn after her sham of a marriage. But she is forced to trust Sir Cabal with her own protection as well as Fallonmours. Sir Cabal has no concept of love or compassion until Emmalyn shows him his need for those things. They are a very compelling duo. This is a rich and complex love story, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it! Summary: Dear Reader,
Review: I'm very pleased to bring you LADY OF VALOR, my second historical romance set in the magnificent Middle Ages! LADY OF VALOR is the story of Emmalyn and Cabal--widow and warrior--two people from different worlds, forced together by the will of the king. I loved bringing these two characters to life, watching them grow as people, and, ultimately, fall in love.

Reviews for LADY OF VALOR have been overwhelming! Here's just a sampling of what people are saying: "enchanting, not to be missed...another keeper" (Belles & Beaux of Romance), "yet another keeper" (Under The Covers), "fast paced, vivid...a trip to the 1100's well worth the time" (4 Stars at The Romance Reader), "a wonderful story about love, forgiveness and strength" (The Romance Journal, Keeper Shelf reviews), and "rich, passionate, guaranteed to entice...Tina St John an automatic buy for so many readers and never disappoints!" (The Road to Romance).

I hope you enjoy Cabal and Emmalyn's story, and all the others still to come! (Watch my website for information on my next medieval romance, to be released Summer 2001.) Until then, happy reading! --Tina :)

Summary: Penny, Addicted2Romance.com Reviews
Review: If you like strong independent heroines you'll love this book, which has a title that perfectly fits the heroine. Lady Emmalyn of Fallonmour has been running the huge Fallonmour estate since her husband went off on a crusade. It was a blessing to Emmalyn he left but when she finds out he was murdered she feels guilty because she wished him dead so many times. Now she's uncertain of her future since the King has sent a knight with the news of her husband and to guard the keep until he decides who the new owner will be and who Emmalyn's new husband will be. Her life was taking care of Fallonmour and it's folk. Now it looks as if all will be lost.

Caleb also known as Blackheart has known nothing but war since he was a young orphaned boy. When he's sent to Fallonmour to protect it for the King he wants only to be back at the battlefield. That is until Lady Emmalyn starts to melt his black heart. He's had a heart all along but it takes her to show it to him. With Sir Garrett dead, his brother Hugh de Wardeaux will plan to take over Fallonmour and claim Emmalyn for himself and even with his cunning knowledge of battle, Caleb will have an enormous challenge trying to get the measly amount of guards he has to work with to protect the keep from Hugh.

Caleb steps in to take over Fallonmour almost stepping on Emmalyn's toes. The castle and village folk soon come to admire him but still adore their Lady Emmalyn. Emmalyn finds herself attracted to the man who came with the news that will lead to her losing her land and freedom. There are many challenges and lots of action to keep the pages turning rather quickly in Emmalyn's and Caleb's story. I applaud Tina St. John on the historical points in the book. You can tell she did her homework. If you enjoy historical romances as much as I do, then you will enjoy this book by the talented Tina St. John.

Summary: A fun romance
Review: Ironically, after two years of fighting in the Holy Land along side of King Richard, Garrett of Fallenmour dies at the hands of a ten-year old girl he accosted just before a treaty is signed. Though he was a lousy solider and an even worse leader, Garrett got along due to the protection of Richard's most trusted knight, Cabal, better known as Blackheart. Concerned what John will do with Fallenmour and its widow, especially since Garrett's brother openly supports the Prince, Richard assigns Cabal to keep both safe until other arrangements can be made.

Though a cold-blooded warrior, Cabal is stunned by his reaction to Fallenour's widow and is even more shocked by Emmalyn's almost aloof reaction to Garrett's death. Further astonishing the knight is how well Emmalyn has managed the estate. The feisty Emmalyn sees her "protector" as a caring person. As the duo falls in love, his fidelity to the King is tested even as he risks his life to keep her safe.

Though staying inside medieval romance "guidelines," LADY OF VALOR is an entertaining tale that sub-genre fans will enjoy. The story line brings to life an era of deceit, double crosses, and dishonesty at the highest levels of the nobility even as that is juxtaposed by fidelity, love, and integrity practiced by decent folk of all classes. The lead couple is a fine duo struggling with their mutual respect and love for one another against their need for independence and loyalty. Tina St. John provides her readers with a warm noble tale.

Summary: Worth it's weight in gold!
Review: Lady of Valor is another well-written book, by the highly talented, Tina St. John. Emmalyn and Cabal are two characters that will stay in my thoughts and heart for some time to come. Although Cabal was known as Blackheart by many, Emmalyn swooped in and stole this gallant knight's heart as Cabal stole mine!

If you only read one romance book this year--this is one not to be missed. The only gripe I have--Ms. St. John does not write them as fast as I can read them. I wait anxiously for her next book.

Summary: Smoothly written, fabulous medieval romance Loved it!
Review: Oh, my, oh, my, oh, my! Where have I been? I only recently discovered this author but boy am I sure glad I did. I kid you not. Ms. St. John is fantastic and Lady of valur is my kind of romance. I don't want to give too much away, but here's the storyline: After coming upon his wretched and very dead comrade on Crusade, Sir Cabal is ordered by King Richard to oversee the dead man's castle, skillfully and independently being run by his beautiful widow. What makes this medieval stand out in my mind are the characters. Cabal and Emmalyn are adults and act like it all the while they must fight their attraction to one another. Their love story begins as a friendship and they both heal one another. The love story is beautiful, poignant and touching. You will enjoy this novel immensely. I cannot wait for her next book. Ms. St. John, now you must write faster now that I've discovered you. Thank you.

Summary: Good authors are hard to find!
Review: This is an author to look to the future. As I have stated in a previous review , I have been reading since 1984 and after all these years of reading, it is very difficult to find new authors that are worth their grain of salt. Well, this is one of them. I do not buy new authors very often for as you know , it is not cheap on the pocket book when you make a wrong choice. Tina St. John shows a very capability of writing a very mature story and that is what I want in a romance novel. I did not buy her first book simple because I did not come across it, but I will go and purchase it now. Tina, does a marvelous job in these characters and brings a lot of values to the heart that man is capable of experiencing in the past world as well in the future of our world. Now if this author will remember how she wrote this book and keeps the pressure of the book companies off her back to put books out fast, she will have my future coins in my small purse! Hope you enjoy this book. You can bank on it!
