Summary: A medieval treasure...
Review: Tina St. John pens another beautiful medieval romance in Lady of Valor. The historical setup for this story is intriguing and highly believable; the plotline is filled with danger and cunning surprises; but the characters are what really makes this book shine. Cabal is a tortured hero-knight who finally finds his heart's home with Lady Emmalyn. This book was so emotional; you just ached for the pain these characters had known and cheered for them when they fight for the happy ending they rightly deserved.

One of the other strengths of this story was the secondary characters. Tina St. John creates a whole community of castle folk and their interactions are really heartwarming, and also make the story feel more realistic.

I highly recommend anything by this author! You can never go wrong with a book by Tina St. John. :)

Summary: Majestic, magnificient!
Review: Tina St. John presents us with a medieval panorama that puts us right there. I can smell the straw, feel the cool stones of the castle and touch the emotions of Cabal and Lady Emmalyn. The colors, splendor of old England come alive under Ms. St. John's capable hands. Cabal is the perfect brooding hero, and Lady Emmalyn is bold, independent, yet fragile and lovely...a wonderful combination. You won't want to put this one down. I give it my highest recommendation!

Summary: A GREAT FOLLOW-UP
Review: While on Crusade, one of King Richard's knights better known as Blackheart, murders Garrett of Fallonmour when he sees him abusing a Saracen villager he'd taken as prisoner for his amusement, but lets it be known that the villager killed her captor. King Richard decides to send Cabal to guard Fallonmour and look after his interests. Lady Emmalyn, Garrett's widow, resents Cabal's interference at first, but their grudging mutual respect develops into an undeniable passion. Cabal's mother died at the hand of a drunken lord, whom Cabal murdered, thus becoming the heartless Blackheart, to be schooled in war and killing by the king. When Lord Garrett's brother Hugh arrives at the castle to claim what he believes is rightfully his, he takes Cabal prisoner and makes arrangements for Emmalyn to marry an old Welsh earl. He tears up the writ by Queen Eleanor stating that Fallonmour is rightfully hers. Loyal to Eleanor's son John, Hugh has a pledge for the same from the Prince. The queen's writ means nothing to Hugh. But for some very cunning moves by Emmalyn's maids to divert Hugh's attention and free Cabal, and help from Fallonmour's priest Father Bryce, Emmalyn is given freedom to escape and go to the queen's bishop at Wexley Abbey, and he will see to her safety and get word of Hugh's defiance to London. She's barely past the castle grounds when she decides she can't leave her home. Cabal, in a duel with Hugh, has every chance to slay him, but decides that Blackheart is dead; he's through being a warrior and destroyer. Humiliated by a punch by an old nurse, Hugh retreats, and now peace reigns over Fallonmour. LADY OF VALOR is well paced, the characters deep and engrossing. Tina St. John has done as masterful job. She holds much promise as a shining romance author.
