Rating: Summary: Want to get to the erotic stuff??!! Then read! Review: 5 star for erotic, 1 star for characters ! OK! I forced myself to read it waiting for the EROTIC scene promised by the readers. & I'M SO GLAD I DID... It is ...wow... wow.. As for the characters, well I hated Sasha's attitude (The male hero), all high & mighty, sleeping around even after knowing Zena (The heroin). & I hated Zena's attitude: "I can't stand up for myself or say what I feel" attitude! ANYWAY.... if you start reading & can't continue whatsoever, just skim through the story till you get to page 201 & read! & there is another scene which is also ... wow...page 340 skim, read & enjoy.
Rating: Summary: Susan Johnson 's Fan! Review: Dear readers, when I first started reading romance novels a year ago, I think I read about twenty books before I got to Susan Johnson's Love Storm. I was blown away. After all the books i've read, I had never read a book by an author that was so bold, so sexy, and so entertaning! She opened my eyes to my ultimate fantasy hero. This book was so good, so steamy, so hot, that I could not put it down. Susan Johnson brings you right there with all the characters. You feel as if you are Zena, and Sasha is your man, and you want to snatch out Amelia's eyes with your fingers. Now listen , and listen well, this book is not for the prudish, fainthearted, or bad boy haters, because Sasha is a very bad boy indeed! You must be somewhat worldly, and openminded to appreciate this book. One reader went as far as to say, "Who makes love like this anyway"? You get my point don't you? This book is not for everyone. I still can say today, that Love Storm is still my favorite romance novel of all time!
Rating: Summary: Alex and Zena-SPOILERS Review: Favorite scene with Zena- Furious at Alex and finally leaving him.Favorite scene with Alex- When Alex finally confesses his love for Zena. Together- When Alex finally confesses his love for Zena. What did you like about Zena- Her stubborness and strength. Her heart and her protectiveness over her brother. What didn't you like about Zena- That she found sexual pleasure in her rape and never told Alex. What did you like about Alex- Although he was reckless and selfish at first, he always put Zena and Bobby first and would do anything for them. What didn't you like about Alex- His drinking and not believing that his son is his.
Rating: Summary: I Hated It More! Review: How can anyone think the scene where Zena was being sold waserotic? ............................. The hero, Alex, was a self-centered, oversexed jerk. I did not see how he came to love the Zena. The only thing he appeared to like was having sex with her. Other than that, he did not even want to be around her if he wasn't having sex with her.
Rating: Summary: YUCK!!! Review: I absolutely hated this book. Alex was an awful character and Zena did not deserve sympathy for her plight. I even disliked the ending which I assume alludes to another book on Alex's son - maybe not but who really cares. Don't bother reading this book unless you love to hate the main characters of the books you read.
Rating: Summary: Definitely not romance. Review: I agree with the review titled "I hate it". I read this book almost 5 years ago now and still remember it by how much I disliked it. I wouldn't even call the sex scenes (and some of them are just that, not "love" scenes)erotica, they are a real turn-off. I've read so many good reviews about Susan Johnson's writing, but as this is the only sample I have to go by, I really don't know if I want to read any of her other work.
Rating: Summary: My personal favorite of the Kuzan's Review: I can't believe all the negative reviews about this book. It was actually my favorite of the Kuzan series. Alex and Zena definitely meet under unusual circumstances and encounter some different situations. I think that's why I liked this story so much - it's doesn't follow the typical "canned" story lines as some other books seem to (when it seems like you're rereading a story but with different characters). This is the middle of a series, so don't leave it out. (Seized by Love, Sweet Love Survive)
Rating: Summary: I HATE IT! Review: I Hate It! A woman is molested by a powerful man, who goes to bed with several more women before the book is through. There is no semblence of a loving relationship. The heroine is sold into slavery, raped( and it was rape) and abused emotionally by her jerk husband. The book was erotic, but in a bad way. Why on earth would anyone want to read about anyone being treated this way? Garbage. It may be erotica, but it is not romance. Don't be fooled.
Rating: Summary: VERY GOOD book Review: I love all of Susan Johnson's older romance novels and this one being no exception. It was super SEXY and has a good historical plot, which makes for a good reading break between the ultra hot scenes. What makes Johnson a good writer is that a lot of the time she removes romantic fantasy from the story and settles for lust and passion. It's good not to have the overly sappy romance plot sometimes; very reminiscent of the Anne Rice Sleeping Beauty books, so if you like those books, you would definately enjoy Susan Johnson.
Rating: Summary: Not worth a penny Review: I love Ms. J style of writing, romance and sex in one, but this was the worse book she has ever written. I bought Love Storm, but dislike it so much that I threw it away. The most sickin part about this book was when Ms. J made a rape scene appear to be anything but rape. I agreed with the other reviewers who thought that part should never be in this book. Most of the books she writes I love, because I find Ms J pushes the level of eroticism but when you add rape I think that is too far. But I still love her writing style and will continue to buy her books.
