Rating: Summary: I love Susan's characters Review: I love the character styles that Susan Johnson uses. The budding sexual female and the tempting, teasing male. No one can tantalize like Johnson!
Rating: Summary: I feel like throwing it away Review: I really didn't like this book. I loved Susan Johnson's other books such as Brazen, Taboo, Pure Sin and Outlaw, but I seriously hate this one and Wicked. The book had a plot, sure, but there really wasn't much to the love between the 2 characters...in fact, I would say their relationship is solely based on lust.
Rating: Summary: Good but not the best Susan Johnson book! Review: I really enjoy Susan Johnson books -- and I did like this one. However Sasha would not be one of my favorite male characters. He was one of the most spoiled males in all of the books I have read. He just seemed to have no real purpose in life other than drinking (he must have been an alcoholic) and having sex - constantly - thus he is nicknamed the "Archer" I think one of my favorite parts of the book was when Serena's grandfather - beats him prior to his marriage to Serena. I wanted to club him by then myself!! On the otherhand Serena was not perfect either - her reaction to the rape was not exactly normal. And when Sasha questioned the parentage of his son - becuz he was blonde - that was very irritating too. Thank goodness the eyes after a few days appeared golden or Serena would have been in trouble. Having said all of this - Susan Johnson truly writes a good sexy erotic somewhat romantic story and if you like her books you will probably enjoy this in the Kuzan series!

Rating: Summary: Romantic, erotic and full of adventure Review: I thought this book was one of her best. It had everything a lover of romance could want in one book. Zena has always been one of my favorite females characters. I scan the shelves at the book store for Susan Johnson's books whenever I go. The scene when Zena is for sale is very erotic and one not to be missed. Read any and all Susan Johnson books you can find
Rating: Summary: I LOVE this Book :o) Review: I was not familiar with Susan Johnson or the Kuzan Family series of Books. I fell in love with this book and the Characters in it. I started it and couldn't put it down til I was finished. I'm going to the Library ASAP to check out the other Books based on The Kuzan family!
Rating: Summary: My favorite "Romance" novel of all time Review: I went through a "Romance" novel reading frenzy when I was seventeen years old. This is the only novel of that phase I've held onto. I was in love with pre-revolutionary Russian history at the time. As I re-read some passages of Johnson's, I am still overcome by "art". It embodied everything I thought romantic and erotic. Impoverished, impossibly gorgeous Zena and spoiled, rich and naughty Sasha are characters I still remember. I revered them both as the epitome of human perfection. Hot, very hot.
Rating: Summary: Okay...eww. Review: I'm a huge fan of romance and of Susan Johnson but this book just made me want to throw up. Generally I can list reasons why the characters fall in love with each other but not in this one. Alex is nothing but a selfish, spoiled, alcoholic mysogenist while Zena is a spineless, prideless, wimp of a woman. Honestly, I think Alpha Males are very hot but Alex took it further than just alpha male, he took it to sadistic idiot. The only character I did like was Yuri in that he was honest and I was happy to see him and Amalie (whom I thoroughly hated at first) find happiness together. Someone actually called Zena 'stubborn and strong' but if you want to read of a truly 'stubborn and strong' woman, read Susan Johnson's "Seduction in Mind". Alex is an amazing woman and you can truly like Samuel. Johnson can write them 'stubborn and strong' so why didn't she in this one? The only reason I'm entertaining the notion of reading the next in the trilogy is because I heard that Apollo is different than his father and grandfather. Hopefully that means for the better.
Rating: Summary: Unbelievably booooooooring!!!!!!!!!!! Review: If I gave this book one star it's because the option of NEGATIVE STARS is not available. This is the first Susan Johnson book I have read and if they are all like this one...it will be the last. There is no romance, no love and no "HARD TO GET." This book was HORRIBLE! Zena has no pride, no self esteem and no...NOTHING. She is madly in love with a JERK who shows no feelings except for sexual desire. If it helps you, I am a HUGE Johanna Lindsey, Connie Mason and Judith McNaught fan and this book is NOTHING like those authors.
Rating: Summary: I hated it also! Review: In total agreement with the others that hated it. There is absolutely NO LOVE HERE! It's all based on lust! Both characters are stupid and are definately NOT in love. Don't waste your time on this one! The plot even reeks! This is the first and only Johnson I have ever read and most definately the very last! I traded it in for a better author, you should too. Better yet, don't even waste the time or money getting it, you'll be glad you didn't.
