Review: Now don't get me wrong I really liked this book, but the beginning of it was much better than the ending. Hot, HOt, HOT! Sex scenes! I like the whole Alpha-Male biker, kidnapping story line. It's a lot different from most of the Contemporary romances I've read in the past. When he was Dallas his character was totally sexy and dangerous, but as Grey, he just sort of became another romance novel character. And why oh why does every famale character have to get pregnant? For once I would love the couple just to live together, not get married, and have kids.....Well, read the book. I guarantee you'll like it. I did.

Review: Reviewed by Kristie Leigh Maguire, MyShelf.com Tess Marsh eyed the gas gauge in dismay. Empty. Broken down on a lonely Montana road as the pitch-black darkness settled around her. There could be all kinds of wild animals out there. But Tess soon discovered that the worst of wild animals didn't come equipped with four legs. Dallas Haynes rode through the night with the light from his motorcycle cutting a swathe through the darkness. Up ahead on the desolate highway, he saw the flashing lights of a vehicle parked by the side of the road just as his headlight picked up the sight of two gigantic elks standing in the middle of the road. He laid down on the brakes, his motorcycle skidding, almost laying over. As he brought his bike under control beside the vehicle, the car door opened and a vision of loveliness stepped from inside. Tess looked up at the biker who had nearly run over the elk. Long dark hair tied back in a ponytail, silver eyes gleaming, a fierce expression on his face as he glared at her. A nightmare come true. Then she saw the headlights and the roars of the other bikes as they came upon them. The nightmare truly began. Is it a thriller or a romance? Lauren Bach does an excellent job in combining both in LONE RIDER. This is a page-turner book if I have ever read one. Lauren Bach is one hot writer - in more ways than one. Bach has earned herself a place on my most favorite author list and is there to stay. I highly recommend this book not only to romance readers but to fans of the thriller genre as well.

Summary: Fantastic romantic suspense
Review: Tess Marsh is driving on an isolated and deserted Montana highway when she runs out of gas. A biker stops to offer assistance just prior to the arrival of a motorcycle gang, notorious for white slavery and drug trafficking. Dallas forces himself on Tess by pretending she is his alone.
When they enter the gang's hideout, Dallas pleads with Tess to trust him in spite of her current predicament apparently caused by him. Weeks later there is a FBI raid on the compound and Tess learns that Dallas is Federal agent Grey Thomas who has worked undercover for years seeking evidence to incarcerate these nasty criminals. Tess is subpoenaed to testify at the trials, but someone wants her dead before she gives testimony. Grey is determined to keep her safe.
Lauren Bach has written an exciting romantic adventure reminiscent of a Big Sky version of Romancing the Stone. The heroine is feisty and brave while the hero intrepidly will do what it takes to keep the woman he loves unharmed. LONE RIDER is a fantastic reading experience for those fans that enjoy action in their romances. Harriet Klausner

When the rest of the gang came riding up behind him, Dallas claimed her for his own, to protect her. As a jewlery designer, Tess had a pretty mundane life. That all changed when Dallas abducted her for her own safety. Not knowing if she can trust him, Tess starts plotting her escape from the gang. When brought to their leader, Tess decides that Dallas is the only one she can trust. Dallas Haynes aka Grey Thomas has spent the last two years of his life undercover. What was originally thought to be a three month assingment turns into something bigger when the FBI realizes they have a chance to bring down one of the biggest drug lords in South America. With only yards to the finish line, Grey risks it all to keep Tess safe. There was something about her from the moment he saw her stranded that called out to him. He was not only attrached to her body and her model looks, but to her pride and her sweetness. Summary: CALLING ALL LINDA HOWARD FANS. . .
Review: Think Linda Howard, think Judith McNaught's "Perfect", think Anne Stuart, think Cherry Adair. Stop thinking and BUY THIS BOOK. WOW! Sexy, sensual, exciting, adventure, terror, chase, hide, an alpha hero to die for, a little kinky (just a little, I think). . .this book has EVERYTHING. Whenever I can add another "can't wait for their next book" author to my list, I'm happy. This is a keeper!

Summary: A Plot as Holey As Swiss Cheese
Review: This author is talented; & writes great sexual tension. She just needs to stay the heck away from suspense plots. There are so many holes in this plot, some stuff didn't even make sense from a logical point of view. This author should in the future, stay away from writing about gangs, undercover agents, courtrooms, trials or the FBI. She obviously has no idea how these entities might actually function. Also: I have to mention that anyone who would drive along aimlessly on deserted Montana back roads, at night, trying to think up a new business proposal without enough gas in her tank and who doesn't even notice when her "gas" light turns on is not only a complete nitwit, but she is one SERIOUSLY distracted driver and is a danger to others. That is just one example of the main character's incredibly dumb behavior throughout this novel.

Summary: Outstanding!
Review: This book was great! The hero, Dallas/Grey, was everything that keeps you turning the pages, and the heroine, Tess, was someone the reader can really relate to. The story developed excitingly well. Non-stop suspense will keep the reader glued to the pages. The couple sizzled; I can't wait for this author's next book. Recommendations: Heartbreaker and Mercy by Julie Garwood, along with all else written by her.
