Rating: Summary: Fun, Fast Paced Ride Review: This is a great romantic suspense with several twists and turns. Tess Marsh finds herself out of gas on a deserted stretch of highway when a guy on motorcycle, Dallas, has to stop to avoid hitting a pair of elk. She is immediately weary of his rough exterior and initially rebuffs his offer of help. However, with her limited options and his civility, she decides to let him give her a ride to the closest town. Before they can leave, the rest of his motorcycle gang arrives who have different plans for Tess. She is taken hostage and Dallas attempts to protect her as best he can. The adventure takes off from here. Characters were great, story was original and not too tidy (as many are these days), and an all around fun read.
Rating: Summary: Hooked from the start!!!! Review: This is the first book by Ms Bach and she received listing in top 10 of RAW's book awards for best book of 2001. I can see why. I won't go into a lot of story detail as I hate it when too much is said. Just say you will not want to put this book down once began. I am waiting for her next book to come out in August- I will read her from now on. She's a keeper!
Rating: Summary: A wild Ride that will keep you turning the pages Review: This was a great book. The story of Tess and Dallas is full of romance, suspense and danger. It is also a good example of being in the wrong place at the wrong time but something good coming from it later on.This book will keep you turning the pages waiting to see what will come next. And keep you guessing at who is the bad guy. Depsite all of the challenges a strong love is born and grows. Don't miss this story from a wonderful writer. I can hardly wait for the next novel from Lauren Bach
Rating: Summary: Pretty good ---and so hot you'll need a fan while reading Review: This was an interesting romance novel from an author who is new (to me, at least). The plot kept me wanting to keep reading and the hero was sexy, although he didn't quite live up to the bad boy image that I was expecting. The switch in the hero's identity mid-stream didn't really throw me off, as his personality was still the same. Perhaps it's just because I'm a closet romance novel reader, but I would recommend that those who get this book not leave it out on the coffee table for anyone and everyone to look at. It's extremely racy, so much so that it's almost pornographic. Should anyone pick it up and happen to open pages to certain parts of it, they might just be shocked at your choice of reading material (in other words, "this ain't your mother's romance novel"). The only criticism I have is that the hero's interest in the baby was a little over the top. I mean, I do think it's sexy and really great when romance novel heroes become enamoured with the idea of fatherhood, but Dallas's/Grey's level of interest was just unrealistic. This part may not bother others and it really didn't "bother" me, but it was one part of the novel that I thought could have been toned down a little. All in all, this was a good romance novel.
Rating: Summary: Lone Rider Review: This was my first book by Lauren Bach. I really enjoyed it. It has excitement with twists and turns that kept you guessing until the end. And it's good to know that some ex's can get along with their ex-wife's. I liked the character of Elise. You will love this book. It's a page turner. I finished it in one day.
Rating: Summary: Lone Rider by Lauren Bach Review: What a page-turner! Where has Ms. Bach been hiding? This has to be the best book I've read in a LONG time. The plot keeps you intrigued and the characters capture your heart - especially Dallas (Grey) - what a hero! You can't wait for the next adventure in this story - plenty of twists and turns which keep you in suspense until the last page. I've added Ms. Bach to my "Favorite Authors" list. Can't wait for her next book!
Rating: Summary: If you like Cherry Adair, you'll like Lauren Bach Review: What a ride! I whipped right through this book. The book grabbed me from the very first chapter. I also thought the plot was original. I'll be watching for the next book by Lauren Bach.
Rating: Summary: Bikers, handcuffs and danger - Very highly recommended Review: With the brilliance of the twinkling stars of the Montana sky inspiring her creative edge, jewelry designer Tess Marsh did not notice the light on her dash indicating low fuel until it was too late. An out of area cell phone and a chance encounter with lone rider Dallas Haynes thrusts her into danger when his motorcycle gang tops the hill and he stakes his claim. Within moments Tess finds herself on the back of Dallas, a hostage in the care of a dangerous man who carefully conceals with concern with harsh bravado. Dallas' educated humor sharply contrasts his hoodlum appearance, and as danger escalates, Tess finds herself trusting him. Dallas claims Tess as his exclusive property, effectively keeping other bikers at bay. Meanwhile, she witnesses a brutal murder, knowledge of which puts her in extreme danger. The following weeks are spent handcuffed to a bed by day, and alone with Dallas at night. Dallas does not explain his mission, or that abducting her and holding Tess hostage is the only way to save her life. LONE RIDER by Lauren Bach is one of the most unusual romantic suspense novels I have ever encountered. Readers seem to either love it or hate it, especially when Dallas moves midway from alpha male biker to carefully cultivated government agent. Indeed, the transition may feel a bit concerting. Nonetheless, Dallas is the ultimate bad boy fantasy come true, complete with bike, leather and heart. His extraordinary world of drug trafficking, leather bound bikers, and biker chicks provide a harsh and startling backdrop for socialite Tess. Her determination to survive and resourcefulness makes her a strong character in the face of extreme adversity. With a fast placed, surprising plot, strong emotion and never-ending danger, LONE RIDER provides an extraordinary read that comes very highly recommended.
