Rating: Summary: Good moments but disappointing ending Review: I bought the book fully expecting to hate it as it has had so much pre-publication hype in the UK press. But it was actually good fun - like the literary equivalent of a Pot Noodle - and a couple of moments had that 'spot-on' feeling. But the ending seemed rushed...like they ran out of pages. It was pretty obvious what was going to happen but it could have been done a lot better.
Rating: Summary: Definately a must read! Review: If you've ever been in a relationship that failed, succeeded, or just blew up in your face, this is a book for you. I read this when it was sent to the bookstore I work at as a pre-release. My coworkers and I agree: we've all said, done, or thought exactly what Jack and Amy and the other various characters in this book say, do, or think. Guys, don't think this is a cheesy romance book, I loved it and so will you.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely cracking. Singledom, without a doubt, rules Review: JL & ER's story tells of the lives of a mid-twenty-something 'couple' (Jackand Amy) in London. The authors have written the book from individual perspectives of both Jack (or Emlyn?) and Amy (or Josie?), illustrating their characters through the portholes of male and female mentality. Absolutely hilarious.
Rating: Summary: What a great book Review: I loved this book, and am surprised I didn't hear of it sooner. Any fan of British chick lit should read this. The authors do a great job of giving us both the man's and woman's point of view, and even though you'd think switching from character to character every chapter could get confusing, it works. The story is funny, the two main characters are so likeable, the plot is believable and I laughed out loud so many times. I wish the two authors would give us more of their humor and storytelling. Highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: This is the best book! Review: I loved this book. I started reading it on a plane on my way to board a cruise. I didn't put it down until I was done (about 1/2 way through the cruise). I loved the alternating chapters of 'he said, she said'. I thought it was very creative and unlike any book I've read in the past. The chapter set-up didn't confuse me at all. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves the 'Chick Lit' genre. There is a sequel to this book, 'Come Again'. It is about the friends of the two main characters in 'Come Together' preparing for their special day. I didn't get past the 1st chapter...didn't like it.
Rating: Summary: LOVED this book! Review: Im 17 years only, and i am very picky about the books that i enjoy. But 'Come Together' was a great book, i couldn?t put it down. I have read 3 books by these author's and i have found that each book is just as good as the last. The story line was basic yet it had a flow that made it very interesting, and in some places i was cracking up, as there is quite a bit of humor in the book. A great book, well worth reading!!
