Summary: Depends on the sort of story you are looking for
Review: After reading the reviews below I went ahead and ordered this book before it came out here. I was interested to see whether I would agree with those who loved it or those who hated it. I was surprised to find I agreed with nearly everyone. Rita Herron has written a heartfelt, poignant love story. She also has not written an Intrigue. This is how the Mills & Boon (Harlequin) Site describes an Intrigue heroine: "She must be active in the mystery and work towards solving it while contributing some knowledge or skill that is necessary to resolve the situation." I agree. That does not sound like this book's heroine. It also says, "The plot must always be complex, realistic, and quickly paced - introspection should be kept to a minimum." This is a book where the emotions are emphasised over the action. Also, "As the protagonists work together to solve the mystery they learn to trust each other and their shared dangers lead to shared passions." The characters are only together during the romance. They seldom work together on the mystery. Compared to other Intrigues I have read, it was not very exciting. It was comparable to most romances though, a very sad and emotional love story. Mrs. Herron must have cared about her characters a great deal. I can understand why some liked it, and also why some would be disappointed in it. I think it hinges on what you expect to find.

Summary: What a SUPER read!
Review: Anyone who likes a well-written, suspenseful romance will love this book. I fell in love with the hero right away, and the heroine was a perfect match for him. I just couldn't put the book down until the very end. Can't wait for Ms. Herron's next book!

Summary: Love a good amnesia story!
Review: Because a previous customer wrote of her dissatisfaction, I thought I would let any interested readers know that I am a real Intrigue fan, and that I truly enjoyed Rita Herrin's new book. There is, of course, no accounting for taste, but for me, it was a thoroughly satisfying read. D.E.Kirkland

Summary: Falling in love again . . .
Review: Falling in love once is great, but falling in love twice -- and with the same man -- is something special. Sometimes the best stories come from true life . . .

Summary: Forgotten Lullaby is a page-turner!
Review: Forgotten Lullaby is a page-turner! This story grips you from the beginning, and will keep you up all night. Imagine not remembering your own husband or baby, and having to get to know them all over again. Emma and Grant learn to cope with the terror of the unknown, which haunts them in places that should be familiar and comforting. Emma can't even recall how she's decorated her own kitchen, and has to operate only on instincts still scrambled by an accident which wasn't an accident. Her own family members are suspect, and with each new attempt on Emma's life, motives for each pop up like evil mushrooms. In the midst of all the tumult, Grant and Emma fall in love anew. This book has it all: mind-teasing mystery, emotional truth, sizzling sex, and a nice twist at the end. Intrigue has a new spelling: R-I-T-A H-E-R-R-O-N.
