Summary: Didn't like it either. Where's my ax?
Review: Since everyone's jumping on the one reviewer, I thought I would say something in her support. I'm a diehard Harlequin Intrigue reader too, and I didn't like this book either. I couldn't understand why until I read the first review everyone is attacking. I read Harlequin Intrigues because they are the only series where I found all the heroines were as strong as the men. In the other February books, there was a lady cop, a headstrong Indian woman who can take on any man, and a woman who goes chasing after a murderer! They were all the kind of woman I wish I could be. I didn't want to be the woman in this book at all. She was pretty pathetic, sitting around waiting for her husband to save her. She was not the Harlequin Intrigue heroine I'm used to, and I was disappointed.

I've found IntrigueFan's reviews very interesting when i agree with them and when i don't. If she has an ax to grind, why are so many of her Intrigue reviews four or five stars? could it be she simply didn't like this one? If you liked it, good for you. That doesn't mean everyone has to. You go, IntrigueFan. Don't let them get you down.

Summary: Rita Herron fans won't be disappointed with this one!
Review: Straying a bit from the detective/cop hero, Ms. Herron does a delightful job of turning an ordinary husband and father into a sleuth out to save his wife's life.

Ms. Herron also tells an emotional tale of falling in love all over again with the same person. Her wonderful storytelling ability will not disappoint her many fans--this one included.

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: The latest Intrigue by Ms. Herron is wonderful. It'll break your heart and remind you what it's like to fall in love. And in the end, it will leave you smiling. Ms. Herron has quickly become my favorite Intrigue author.

Summary: Bring a hanky!
Review: This is a pretty average romance novel. I would pick it up at a UBS. Then I saw it was supposed to be a romantic suspense. In that case, it is disappointing. Little action and a silly mystery. Gayle Wilson and Suzanne Brockmann write romantic suspense. No one who has read their books can think Rita Herron's is in the same category. You will like it if romantic intrigue is not what you are looking for.
