Summary: by the blood of Mystra
Review: It is a rare thing that a book can make me weep and laugh in the same page. The first series that pulled it off was Chronicles. Then the Dark Elf trilogy, and finally Songs and Swords. So, as you can imagine, I was thrilled to hear of Silver Shadows. I anticipated savoring it, over several days, but alas such was not to be. I can advise the wouldbe reader of two things. 1. Do not miss the chance to read this book. 2. Ensure that your significant other is occupied, at length, when you open it. I learned much in my reading. A new understanding of the WoodElves, or Wild Elves. A keener insight into the Knights of the Shield. Next week marks the first reunion of my favorite AD&D group. It's been ten years, and I am thinking that Tethyr is a Fine place to begin our new adventures together. Thank you, Mrs Cunningham, for another wonderful read. -Mauricilean Evercrest of the Elven Court, near the human settlement of Essembra

Summary: Another excellent book by Elaine.
Review: Silver Shadows is another great book written by Elaine Cunningham. We see Arilyn develop and overcome her anxiety of the moonblade, and she becomes proud to be a bearer of it. I was a little disappointed that Danilo is not in the book much, but the other characters and the plot made it interesting enough that i still enjoyed the story. If your a fan of Elaine, this is a book i recommend.

Summary: Wonderful book, now in a nice new cover.
Review: Silver Shadows is another wonderful novel from Elaine Cunnigham, whom I personally few is the most consistantly great author I read. Of all the novels in the old harpers series by Ms. Cunningham, now being re-released as the Songs and Swords series this is my favorite. It has everything a good book needs. Grand adventure, romance, strong, deep characters, and a talented story teller to pull it all together. This novel allows us to see more of Arilyn Moonblade, the hard headed, fierce Half-elven warrior from Elfshadow. She has grown up quite a bit since those early days, but still is learning much about her powerful sword, an elven moonblade inherited from her mother. Even more, throughout this novel Arilyn will begin to learn much about herself and her ancestry. The forest of Thethyr with the Wild Elves leaves a wonderful setting for an amazing story. I am sure you will enjoy reading this one as much as I.

Review: Silver Shadows is by far the most excellent Elaine Cunningham book i have read. She captures every aspect of the elven race in this book. Hands down this is one book you wont want to set down!

Summary: A note on Elaine Cunningham's Elf* and *Shadow books
Review: Silver Shadows is one of the best TSR books, well worth reading. But to get the most out of it, I suggest that you read the two prequels for it first: "Elfshadow" (Harpers 2) and "Elfsong" (Harpers 8). They are essential for understanding the small subplots and undercurrents of "Silver Shadows." Another useful prequel reading for this book is a thirty page story by Elaine Cunningham in the Forgotten Realms anthology "Realms of Valor." This story, called "The Bargain" is directly related to "Silver Shadow" and explains the reasons behind the Harper mission which landed Arilyn Moonblade and Danilo Thann in Zazzespur and their respective introduction to the Assasin's and Wine Merchant's guilds.
