Rating: Summary: An excellent book. A good read for kids and adults as well Review: Many other have already given a synopsis of the book. Please don't read them. Sabriel is best enjoyed when you jump in feet first with out any idea of how it will end. The story is well told with excellent descriptions. The characters are very well defined and interact with each other very well. Being an adult, I was surprised that this was considered a "Teens" or "Young Adult" book. It was a very intense read and I completely enjoyed it.
Rating: Summary: Good Review: Though enetertaining (I read it in two days) some things were a bit too predictable. For example, Touchstone's identity. He himself gave the clue by leaving something out of one of his explanations. But it wasn't bad.
Rating: Summary: Breath taking and amazing! Review: I absolutely loved reading "Sabriel". I loved the way Mr. Nix opened up the dark world of necromancy to those ill-educated to it. I was inspired by Sabriel's strong connection to reality. She has a very strong will and is quite brave, but still knows that there is much to learn in her vast world of mysteries. Garth Nix is an increadable writer and I commend him greatly on his work. Mr. Nix, If you read this, I am an enormous fan. I look forward to more pieces of work. I am planning to go searching for other books that I do not presently own, such as "Lirael" and "The Seventh Tower" series. Thank you so much for making reading quite enjoyable for me. If anyone is planning to read this book, do it! You won't regret it!

Rating: Summary: Way Too Cool For Words! Review: This book is most definatly one of my favorites! I think it is a book that could relate to all audiences. I mean there's action, adventure, suspence, heroism, and even a small romance plot. I used to get so mad that our library only caried on copy. When ever i wanted to borrow it, it was always out. I finally ended up buying the book after i had already read it 4 times! I definatly recomend this book to any person who loves fantasy or fiction! ENJOY!
Rating: Summary: A Tale of Dark Secrets, Deep Love, and Dangerous Magic. Review: Sabriel, daughter of Abhorsen, must leave Wyverley school when she discovers the horrid news that her father is missing. She must cross the wall to a world she has never set foot on and pursue a dangerous mission with only her two friends as companions. Mogget- bound by a unknown perhaps dangerous spirit and Touchstone- imprisoned by magic and after many years set free by Sabriel. The three must travel deep into the old kingdom and in some instances- travel into the chill of death and try to save her father before it's to late... before he crosses the ninth gate. This is a breathtaking book that takes you out of this world and into a spine-tingling new world. The action and adventures come at a non-stop pace. It's a definite page-turner. Give this book a chance and you won't regret it! If you enjoyed this book you definitely should get the sequel 'Lirael'. It's worth spending the extra money for the hardcover.

Rating: Summary: YA Fantasy Review: This book is a fantasy/horror book. I read my brother's copy (without asking him hahaha). Honestly, though, it is a very good book and I recommend it for teen readers. If you like this book, you should like "Forgotten Beasts of Eld," "Shadow Moon" (the first book in a trilogy that is the sequel to the movie "Willow"), "Of Two Minds," and "The Cats of Seroster" (which is unfortunately a very rare book).
Rating: Summary: A Great Adventure Review: This turned out to be a great book. The beginning started off a little slow, but a friend urged me to continue reading. I did and I'm so glad! Sabriel had a unique personality along with her helpful, but smug friend Mogget. This book has a lot of everything for people with different tastes: adventure, magic, an interesting world, and of course romance. This was the first book I've read by Garth Nix, but it certainly won't be my last!
Rating: Summary: An excellent blend of sci fi and fantasy Review: Sabriel is categorized as a young adult book however, like Garth Nix's other books, is very engaging for adults. Nix's character development is excellent as you get to know Sabriel and follow her quest to find her father, learn who she is and discover her inate talents and strength. Nix has created a hard to put down book with this story that blends magic and fantasy with believable technology.
