Summary: A page-turner - kept me reading until the end...
Review: This book is an excellent example of classic fantasy. It has its twists and turns, however. You never know what will happen next until you read it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An outstanding book full of mystery and intrigue.
Review: Garth Nix did a wonderful job crafting Sabriel in such a way that the reader couldn't put it down. I liked it because instead of writing about magic in a scary way laden with witches, gouls and vampires, the author gave a humanity and respect to it. It was an interesting book that broadened my vocabulary a bit. It was humorous but not cheesy and had strong characters. I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes science fiction.

Summary: Amazing Book!
Review: I started SABRIEL this morning with a cynical look. It absolutely amazed me! At first, the Charter and Free Magic were confusing, but after awhile, I got used to it. I hope he writes a sequel to this spell-binding book.

Summary: The Best in the World!
Review: Sabriel is the best book I've ever read in my life. My friend knew I liked fantasy and science fiction, and she let me read Sabriel after she was done with it. I finished it in three days. Last year I got a copy and have read it four times since. Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone.

Summary: Sabriel is a highly intriguing and imaginative book.
Review: Garth Nix amazes me with Sabriel. It's a great treat compared to the average young adult science-fiction novel. Not only does Sabriel have to deal with the pains of reaching adulthood, she must adjust to the entirely new world she has been flung into after her father's death. She's scared at the prospect of facing evil all alone as the abhorsen. The book many twists as she finds out secrects and finds help in strange places. It's one I will read many times. Enjoy!

Summary: A very dark and unusual book
Review: The first time I read this book, I did not like it. I got confused with the dark and light ages, and all those other science fiction things that I an ignorant of, did not understand. But the second time, I took my time and grasped this touching story of life and death, the search for a girl who's love was so strong for her father, that she risked her lives and friends to bring him back. I was so shocked at the ending, but it was fantastic.

Summary: This is one of the most interesting books I have ever read
Review: The incoorporation of magic and other fantasy elements added to realistic issues like loss, love and friendship gives this story an interesting plot. I also like the fact that the main character is a strong-willed young woman battling evil. It is unusual sometimes to read a book where the female (Gabriel) is strong and intelligent. Gabriel uses dangerous magic which she inerrited through her long family line of Necromancers. She was destined to keep the kingdom of the dead, her world and the Old Kingdom appart, following in her father's footsteps.

Summary: great book
Review: this has got to be one of the best fantasy books i have ever read, even challenging the hobbit series

Summary: WOW!
Review: This has got to be one of the best books I have ever read in my life (and I've read quite a few). It had every aspect of a good book: action, suspense, mystery and even a little romance. Once I finished it, I went out and bought the next Garth Nix book I could find: Shades's Children. I can't wait to start that, either. But back to Sabriel. She is a wonderful heroine, smart, clever, resourceful and witty. The book draws you in, making you feel as if the Old Kingdom exists in our world (but hey, maybe it does!!). I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a good read, no matter what kind of books they usually read. :)

Summary: Wow!
Review: Wow! i couldn't put the book down. Sabriel is now a great addition to all heroes I know. This book shared human insight about death and life. I can't wait to read more books about Sabriel and Touchstone.
