Review: Many teenagers are good at sports. They work hard. They like to join in sports. In the story, it is true to life. It is about sports and Louie work hard, plays with team, and is be tough; also it is love with Louie's girlfriend. I think it is good, and it tells me what happens in the story. He was a good at sports. He hung out with his girlfriend. He was serious about football. I think the reader should read the book because it is great novel about sport. They will enjoy the book. They will like to talk about the story.

Summary: A VOICE OF COMFORT
Review: Poor Louie has a lot to contend with, including being the victim of a false accusation. Not to fear, folks -- Louie rises above his obstacles in a totally plausible, realistic and very sympathetic fashion.

Chris Crutcher followers will not be disappointed. The author tackles with sensitive, adult themed issues head on in a very intelligent and forthright fashion. He compliments the intelligence of his readers and he does not soften his tone for anyone, to his credit. Chris Crutcher is a truly outstanding, high caliber, first rate author. I wish I could rate this one more stars.

Review: RUNNING LOOSE ....

Have you ever had a life that was going great? It was like you were on cloud nine. Then all of a sudden things just got worse and you lost everything you wanted or had? If you answered yes to all thee above then I suggest this book for you.

The Character that I am referring to in this book is Louie. This guy had everything he wanted. Yes, he had to work hard sometimes because he didn't get the things he wanted easily but eventually he got them. Louie's live wasn't all fun and games. He definitely had some struggles along the way. He was on the football time at school. He also lost that opportunity when he got thrown off the football time because of a fight he had with the coach. I feel this character also faced struggles along the way. Louie loses a very important person in his life that he feels he didn't even know. He's also not sure how to handle this. People say that he is crazy, but Louie feels that live is just not fair anymore.

I asked again if you answered yes to all the questions above I think that this is a good book for you to read. Let's see if you can relate to Louie and maybe your life wont seem to be as bad or maybe it will.

Summary: Running Loose
Review: Running Loose by Chris Crutcher is an extremely well written young adult novel. Crutcher is able to deal with many serious subjects including racism and death but still keeps it fun with his remarkable touch of humor. Running Loose is about a high school senior who comes to question his morals as well as his life as a football star when his coach orders an illegal hit on a black quarterback from another school. I highly reccomend this book to any mature readers who enjoy witty and intriguing stories. This book has become my favorite book and it may become one yours.

Summary: Running Loose
Review: Running Loose by Chris Crutcher was a great book. I didn't get all the way done with it but what I did read was really good. It deals with a couple of high school kids who are good athletes at Trout High School. The main character is Louis Banks. Louis deals with some problems that every other high school student deals with. From women to sports and problems with getting in trouble at school. In the end Louis gets blamed for something that another kid does and gets in trouble for it. Overall it shows that an important part of life is to have patience, and get along with people even if they don't like you. I would recommend this book for anybody who likes those stories about a high school students life.

Summary: Running Loose
Review: Running Loose is a phenomenal book. It is a book for a reader that enjoys young adult fiction. Chris Crutcher does an excellent job at combining drama with sports. If you enjoy reading books about sports you should consider Chris Crutcher as an author. The book starts out when a high school football player named Louie is in summer training for football. He exercises every day to get in shape. As the season approaches, he becomes the star defensive back for Trout High School. In the meantime he falls in love with a cheerleader named Becky. When his team is faced against one of the toughest teams in the league, Salmon River, his coach tells one of Louies teammates, Boomer, to take out their star quarterback, Washington. After it happened Louie was upset with Boomer and tried to get is own team a penalty by telling the referee it was an intentional hit. His coach kicked him off the team for the rest of the season and said he will never play another sport at Trout High School again. When he thinks that worse has happened to him, something else worse happens. His girlfried, Becky, is killed in a car accident. Can Louie overcome his problems, or will something even worse happen? You must read this exciting book to find out.

Summary: Running Loose
Review: Running Loose is a well written young adult novel about a boy who starts the year off great but then tragedy strikes. The author, Chris Crutcher, related the characters in this book towards the teenage person. This book is aimed toward a more mature audience, children under the age of thirteen should not read this book unless really mature. There are a lot of curse words in this book. This book has become the favorite of many of my classmates. The main character, Louie, appealed to me as a reader because he acted the same as the people in our high school. Louie comes into the year wanting to be a super star, but when an illegal hit is called on a black quarterback from another school. Louie objects the call and goes against all the odds during this book. Crutcher has good supporting characters in this book. Becky, Boomer, and Carter all are there for Louie in his tough times in his senior year in high school. Coach Lednecky and principal Jasper are very racist and do not like change or controversy of any kind. When the controversy about the cheap shot on the other quarterback comes up, those two run and hide like little cowards.
Overall this book was well written, it has alot of mature teen language and is appealing to boys more than girls because of the athleticism and dirty language.
