Summary: It's quite a fine book , but I MISS TORTALL!!!
Review: The book is considerably fine, but it does not live up to its predecessors, such as the Immortals series and The Song Of The Lioness. Still, it does have a unique plot

Summary: A whole new world
Review: The world of the Circle is a brand-new venture for me, with new kinds of characters and situations. I've long wanted to try something with magic tied to crafts, as well as to create a new universe from the ground up, and when I was offered the chance to try both, I grabbed it. *Sandry's Book* sets the ground for the other books, just as Sandry herself is the thread who brings four such different kids together.

Summary: O.K.
Review: This book was an okay book, but I felt myself getting confused with which charecter did what, and how they were found, or what they did. But I got it strait soon enough. But I do have to say that im HOMESICK FOR TORTALL!! I just hope after this series is finished we return to familiar land.

Summary: A Good Book For Young Readers
Review: I really liked this book, as well as all of her other books published. Tamorra Pierce is a very good fanticy writer and a good real life writer. I would recomend her books for any age.

Summary: New friends in a new world...
Review: Sandry, Daja, Tris, and Briar are all brought to Winding Circle Temple to learn the ways of their strange magic. A lady, a Trader, a cast-off and a theif, they distrust each other until they are trapped together and must combine their powers to escape. I would not have known Tamora Pierce had written this if not for her name on the cover. My opinion is that it needs to pick up the pace.

Summary: A good book.
Review: Sandry, Tris, Daja, and Briar were each brought up very differently, with prejudices against each's race and religion. They are not happy to find themselves living together, and mostly refuse to be friends. Sandry, who is more open than the rest, struggles to bring them together, but in the end it is not her doing, but starts a rocky friendship, all the same. I would almost definetly recomend this book to someone who likes multi main-character books, magic, and friendship, as well as controversy. There could be more, excitement, though. To Pierce's credit, no characters undergo dramatic personality morphs; the well developed characters uphold their place.

Summary: new series seems promising
Review: This title is a promising start to a new series, but it seems to lack some of the humor which is so much a part of her 'Alanna' series. The plot seems a bit formulaic, but the characters are likeable and human, for all their magical potential.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Good Fantasy for All Ages
Review: SANDRY'S BOOK is one of those YA Fantasy books that is a good read for anyone of any age. It's very strong on characterization, briskly paced, features an interesting world that promises more development in subsequent books. It's a keeper on my shelf--for my classroom at school, and at home for the family to read

Summary: A must read series
Review: I love Tamora Pierce. She's my favorite author, mainly because she's talented, makes amazing charcters, and even better plots. So I was pretty surprised when I got this book. I guess you could say I was dissapointed. I found it hard to follow, and the plot wasn't all that great, although the main idea of magic was good. I would suggest maybe checking the book out, instead of buying it. Don't give up on the series, though; book 2 & 3 are way better. But if you want a good Pierce series, get Song of the Lioness or Immortals.
