Summary: This book is an awesome opening for a wonderful series
Review: Sandrys book is a wonderful book full of fun and friendship. This is the first book in the Circle of Magic series. It descibes the first meeting of Briar, Sandry, Daja and Tris, weaving a great, detailed story.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Enjoyable, but nowhere near as good as Tortall
Review: I enjoyed this book a lot, but I didn't like it anywhere near as well as Pierce's other books. Unlike other readers, I don't mind a whole lot that she's moved to another world (Although I do wonder how Daine and Alanna's lives turned out) But I just don't think that this book of any of the others in this series are as good as the others. Still, however, a good read for fantasy lovers and Pierce fans.

Summary: READ THIS BOOK!!!!!
Review: I absolutely LOVED this book! It's really good, and when I spotted it at the library (I'm a Tamora Pierce fan) I just had to get it! I have to admit one thing though, I was confused at the beginning with all the jumping around stuff. But once they were all together, I thought it was awsome! And about missing Tortall, I don't really care. I mean, not everything happens in one country! Think about it! Although I would like to hear about what happens to Daine, Alanna, and all the other people, I think Sandry, Briar, Daja, and last and LEAST Tris (I hate her!) are really cool too. So, if you haven't already, READ THIS BOOK!!!

Summary: Good book
Review: I thought that Sandry's Book was good, although I have to agree with everyone, I do miss Tortall. But, I think it was good to get a change, I mean, I'm sure not everything evolves around Tortall. Anyway, I thought it was really good and have read it over and over. But I have to agree with some people, Tris hogged the book. I really hate her and hope she doesn't steal the show in any other books.

Summary: Sandry's Book IS about Sandry
Review: When I first read this book I agreed with the reviewers that said the book related the story of all the characters equally. But the second time I read it I thought about what was actually happening in the story and I began to see that there would be very little story without Sandry. Yes, the book is about four very different people learning about their own magic, but it is Sandry who invites Dara to eat at her table despite the scorn of the other 'ladies' Sandry was eating with. Sandry who first tries to make friends with Tris and who closes the garden gate against Briar's pursuers despite the fact that he's a former thief who they've only know a couple of days. Sandry is the first to realize that there 'is an us'. And when they are all in danger of dying, it is Sandry who conquers her greatest fear and weaves their magics together making them strong enough to survive. The book is about all the children because they are all part of the same group but without Sandry there would have been no group. This also makes Sandry a heroine we can identify with and imitate. Instead of a person who changes the world through a great feat of arms or fantastic workings of magic, we have a young girl with the gift of making friends and bringing people together who also happens to be a mage with the gift of weaving. Every one of us who reads this book has the ability to try to imitate Sandry by making friends with others. I have always enjoyed Tamora Pierce's books, but now I also value her temendous skill as a writer.

Summary: Different, but good
Review: It was a basically well written book but quite different from her other series. Sandry's Book did not grab me from the first page as Ms. Pierce's other books did, but rather eased me into impatiently wanting to continue. I personally like the Tortall chronicles better, but the change is good. I hope Ms. Pierce continues writing books and will hopefully return to Tortall and revisit the characters we know and love.

Summary: Get off Tortall!!!!!
Review: I must say most of you lot are a bunch of wet puppies. Look at Anne McCaffrey, what, about 10 worlds? And here you are, griping about Tamora Pierce because she wanted to create another world! Do you expect her to stick to Tortall for the rest of her life? If i was her I'd give you all a punch in the nose! And what do you mean, Sandry, *only* ties them all together? ONLY!!! Get off the grass you lot and enjoy the new series for what it is!!

Anyway a great book.

Summary: A good read
Review: When I picked up this book my immediate hope was another saga that included Alanna and all my friends from the last book. Finding a completly different story was surprising, but not by any means unwelcome. I liked Sandry's Story and feel it has merit. It's a story about friendship and what friendship means, especially to those who feel like they're outsiders. I enjoy any good fantasy literature, whatever it's designated age, but to be truthful, this new series probably wasn't designed as much to satisfy veteran readers of Tamora as much as to reach a younger group of readers. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this new series.

Summary: An excellent story but not the Song of the Lioness.
Review: I very much enjoyed Sandry's book although it wasn't what I expected. It was an excellent book but I MISS TORTALL!!!!!!BRING BACK ALANNA!!!!

Summary: A real let-down
Review: The book was OK. If this is the first of Ms. Pierce's books that you have read, you would probably like it better, but the book was a definite let-down if you had read her other books. I think that after she has completed this series, she should go back to writing about Tortall. That really worked for her.
