Summary: Best handheld
Review: After thorough research...found Cassiopeia E-100 was the best. Bought one and have been more impressed than ever. Keep track of contacts and take notes...in vivid color. Download and play music. This one does it all. No, I'm not a salesman...just a very satisfied customer.

Summary: Cassiopeia - Best with Outlook.
Review: As many companies are moving to Exchange/Outlook for email, Casio and the Windows CE platform are the best choice for folks looking for a PDA. Easy to sych and VERY easy to manage for Windows fans, Casio will undoubtedly threaten Palm's market share very soon and very severely. Now if those prices could just come down...

Summary: All flash, low practicality
Review: At a cursory, window-shopping level the Casio E-100 shines with its color screen, easy touch pad, and smart initial layout, but once you use it you realize it suffers functionally versus the Palms.

It is too bulky for your pocket or even a jacket. The power switch is awkward to use. The power runs out quickly and needs to be recharged, so if you travel internationally it can't simply be plugged in whereas the Palm uses AAA battries that can be gotten anywhere. Despite being CE based it doesn't sync up with Outlook any better than the Palm. It has much less flexibility with capturing addresses and data which with the Palm can be better customized.

Stay with the Palms, because Amazon will not take it back after 30 days if you don't like it,

Summary: The French guy must have gotten a real lemon...
Review: Folks, don't listen to the Frenchman. Just because he got stuck with a lemon E100 don't believe that all E-100 suck...I can honestly say that my E105's the best PDA around, hands down! No other palm-size device (Palm or CE)comes close to it. It's got the richest color display around!

Summary: Think Porsche (Casio E100) Vs. Horse and Buggy (Palm V)
Review: Functionality, that's what this machine is all about. For all those palm heads that say, simpler is better, why are companies such as Sony and Visor scrambling to manufacture PalmOS devices with added features? Stick with WindowsCE, they are already on version 2.x, working on 3.0 and have experience developing Palm size PC's with color screens so don't worry about this platform being dead. If you buy a Casio, you won't regret it. If you can think of something to do on this machine, it will be able to do it. 131mhz, 16mb ram, 16mb ROM, TFT Color display, this thing has more punch than my last laptop. Sure it's a little temperamental, but so are most SOTA technological wonders. To all those who say the Palm is more reliable, I say, you are probably right...now take your Palm, get back in your horse-and-buggy and get out of the way of progress!

For those of you considering the HP 430SE, don't. I've seen both in the store and the Casio has a FAR superior display. To get an idea of what I'm talking about, go to any computer store, and ask to see a laptop with a DSTN display (notice the ghosting as you move the cursor, slightly blurred display, ...), then ask to see another laptop with a TFT (notice the razor sharp display, rapid response to onscreen changes, wide viewing angle...) display. You will no doubt like 99% of people go with the TFT display. The display is the most important item on any computer as you are looking at it 90% of the time you are using the machine. Don't compromise on display quality, and Casio is the ONLY company right now who manufactures a Palm Size PC with a TFT display. Sure, HP has the bragging rights to the fastest processor (133Mhz vs 131Mhz) but those 2mhz ain't going to save your eyes.

I use this technological wonder every day. Task management, scheduling, email, scrabble, spreadsheets, mp3 playback in stereo, if you can think of a use, there is software for it. One note though, when you go to buy this or any other Palm Size PC, invest in some screen protectors, because no matter how careful you may think you are, writing with a sharp object on a smooth as glass, plastic surface, WILL make scratches...

My $.02 ..

Summary: Over priced-worst service
Review: Having used the Casio E-11 for a year now I can safely say that it is over priced, under powered, energy hungry and only a passable door stop. Casio Customer service is an oxymoron - they take weeks to respond and their Hotline is always busy - indicative of poor service or poor product.

When you do get customer service to respond they often only give you half the info you need - and it may not be correct! - Personally - I'd buy a good paper note pad - cheaper and much more reliable or buy the Palm Pilot.

Summary: Older model but still a great buy.
Review: I bought mine a couple of weeks ago despite all of the latest and greatest technology out there with other PDA's. I must tell you, I am VERY impressed. It might be a bit bulky compared with newer models but it has all of the functionality that anyone could need and a beautiful color display. Anyone looking to get a more basic model and not spend as much money, go for this. You'll be amazed at what it can do.
