Summary: Sparks Does It AGAIN!
Review: Once again, with his latest release of A Bend In the Road, Nicholas Sparks continues to amaze me with his writing. No one writes quite the way he does.
It's yet another one of his books I couldn't put down. I read it in 5 days and now I'm a little sad that I bought it and read it so soon, b/c I have to wait for him to publish another one! He tugs at your heartstrings w/ this story of a first love that's torn away from the main character...but love is found again...only there lies a something so deep that could destroy everything. BUY IT! It's at the top of my Christmas List for purchasing for my loved ones this year!

Summary: Disappointing
Review: Sparks' latest novel is disappointing. The characters failed to hold my attention while the plot proved predictable. I did not feel the emotional connection to the characters as I had in previous books, especially The Notebook. Nicholas Sparks is a gifted author, but the simple writing and predictable story lines and characters left me rather indifferent to A Bend in the Road. This trend began with The Rescue; I hope that he is able to recapture the magic of earlier books.

Summary: Easy Read but Predictable
Review: I enjoyed this book but it seemed predictable. Anyone who reads Sparks will like it. The plot seems to move a little slow. I look forward to his next book and hope it will be different from the rest.

Summary: A story that keeps you guessing
Review: This was a very good love story and it had some mystery to it. I must say the mystery kept you guessing. It is a very good book.

Summary: Sparks is Awesome
Review: I read this book in less than a day! I really enjoyed this novel. Nicholas Sparks makes his characters so believeable. You can feel their pain, their happiness and their humor. I wasn't as impressed with this book as A Walk to Remember, his best novel yet, but I was thoroughly pleased.

Summary: Great Book
Review: This one of the best books I've ever read. It is a classic love story of a man and his son's teacher, that has a sudden twist that changes their fate. It keep you on your toes, trying to find out what will happen next.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: An easy entertaining read but nowhere near the notebook.
Review: I enjoyed the book- the characters were interesting and somewhat complex. However, the book lacked the emotional intensity of the Notebook. I recommend the book but only for someone looking to blow a couple of hours on a simple love story.

Summary: He does it again!
Review: When I bought my first Nicholas Sparks novel, it happened to be the best decision I had made regarding literature. I now own, and have read all 5 of his books. And yet again, he has left me anticipating his next piece.

In typical Nicholas Sparks fashion, he brings the reader into the story of Miles, Sarah, Jonah and Missy. The quirky lines between them make you smile, the pain they feel make you ache, and the love they share makes you yern. YOU are there with them as they travel the winding road of life and love.

Not only do I recommend everyone read this book, I recommend you read his others as well (The Notebook, Message in a Bottle, A Walk to Remember, The Rescue). I guarantee you....you will not be disappointed!

Summary: A bend in the road
Review: Another great book by Nicholas Sparks..However, nothing has come close to The Notebook yet..I have read all of his books and love them all..There were a few parts in the book that became rather boring such as the focus on Otis and the other "bad guys" in the book..All in all it was a good book and I would recommend it..

Summary: Eciting but sugary romantic suspense
Review: Two years ago in New Bern, North Carolina Deputy Sheriff Miles Ryan learns how quickly a joyful life can turn to ashes when a still unknown hit and run driver kills his beloved wife, Missy. Miles feels he died that day too and survives through their young son Jonah. Neither Ryan male has come to grips with their loss as both still mourn Missy's death.

All Sarah Andrews wanted from life was the same kind of love her parents have for one another and always showered on her. She thought Michael was her life mate, but when they learned her eggs could not produce a child, he divorced her. She left Baltimore to start anew in New Bern.

Sarah, Jonah's elementary school teacher, is sympathetic towards the young child's grief; still she is concerned with his behavior and schoolwork. At a parents-teacher conference, Miles and Sarah meet and feel a shocking attraction. As they begin to fall in love, both wonder if a relationship is the right thing for them and for Jonah. Then there is the "Italicized" individual who deliberately killed Missy and will murder again to remain anonymous.

Very few writers of romantic suspense can send off more sparks and sugar in the same mix than Nicholas Sparks. The story line is sweet as two walking wounded heal through the magic of love, which in a Mary Poppins kind of way softens everyone else except for the murderer. The lead couple is a warm, engaging duo struggling with ghosts, love, and a killer, which make for a fine cotton candy of a tale.
