Summary: What a disappointment.
Review: I fell in love Nicholas Sparks' previous books becase they evoked a lot of emotion. I thought Sparks had an uncanny insight into human behavior and his characters were intelligent and sympathetic. This novel was a huge disappointment, however. I felt like it was written in a rush to satisfy publisher demands and not written from the heart. The characters were neither memorable nor particularly likeable.

Summary: Ehh..not his best.
Review: I just started reading Nicholas Sparks' book this year, and I have loved them all. A Walk to Remember is my favorite. This one was really predictable, once we got over the initial shock that Brian was the driver. The thing with the dog at the end was pretty shocking, too, but the rest of it was predictable. If you're looking for classic Sparks, look elsewhere. He just didn't seem to have it in this novel. The story took weird turns and some twists were just not right. However, I will remain loyal to Sparks because I think he is fantastic! Everybody has bad things now and then.

Summary: What a GREAT Read
Review: Right from the beginning, A Bend in the Road keeping you on the edge of your seat. Miles is a wonderful father and husband trying to figure out who killed his wife but yet at the same time falls in love with a woman who takes alway his pain and loneliness. The book also show the history of a small town and the legend and stories of its past. The ending was not at all what I expected and left me crying and wanting more. Nicholas Sparks is one of the best romantic writers around. I would recommend any of his books to both men and women. What a wonderful read!!!

Summary: great book
Review: Another great book by an interesting author. I enjoyed the mystery with several misleading assumptions. I liked this book much more than, THE RESCUE, as it stood on it's own two feet without resorting to lengthy, and unneed, descriptions of sex. Get a cup of tea, a roaring fire & a blanket & ccurl up for a good read.

Summary: All the Way to the End
Review: If you're tired of good books that fall apart with a weak ending, try this one. Nicholas Sparks keeps the story going all the way to the final paragraph.

Summary: WOW!!!
Review: This drew me in from the first chapter.. and now that its over, I can't stop thinking about it! This was my first Nicholas Sparks book and I am so impressed. It's a very easy read, but yet through simple words you understand and feel connected to the characters and the challenges they face. I could not put this book down. I was even sneaking chapters at work! It has the touching side of a romantic novel combined with an element of suspense that will leave you hooked. I compare this book to Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson. If you like this... you will love that too!

Summary: Sparks does it again
Review: Nicholas Sparks is a master at creating humanistic love stories, and he has done it again in A BEND IN THE ROAD.

The story of a man left to raise his son after the tragic death of his wife is sure to spark compassion and arouse regret in Spark's readers. We can't help but love Jonah, his young son, and its obvious why both fall in love with his teacher, Sara. But like all stories, this romance is too good to be true.

The title of this novel is superbly chosen, as it holds both literal and methaphoric meaning to the novel. For readers familiar with Spark's, you'll love this latest story. If you're new to the author, be prepared for a sophiticated and mature story of love and loss. I'm already looking forward to the next one.

Summary: Keeps you on your toes
Review: I have read all of Nicholas Sparks' books and I have loved every one of them. Although they all seem to keep the same sort of theme - they are all great. I've been waiting for this new book to come out and it was everything and more than what I expected. It had a little more mystery to it than any of his other books. I recommend it to anyone!

Summary: Definitely one of his best
Review: A Bend in tbe Road is by far one of Sparks' greatest works yet. It doesn't top Message in a Bottle, but ranks up there right under it alongside The Rescue in my opinion. I picked up the book late one night to read a little before bed. Five hours later I was putting it down, only because I had finished it. The story was so compelling that nothing could take me away from it. I can't wait to see what Sparks writes next. It can't come soon enough! I highly recommend this book to everyone!!
