Summary: Hello Hanoi!
Review: It's a good game, espically for those of you who're pilots!

Great game in the air and on the sea, I can't say Im too fond of the groundside action though. Although I prefer the "Shoot first, shoot again, shoot some more, then when everyone is dead, ask your question!"

Anybody that says this game is bad is lying. If you are a SERIOUS shooter and you want to pinnacle of the shooting games out right now, you want this!

(dont beleive the 12 yr old thing, Im 15)

Summary: A great concept poorly implemented
Review: The idea behind it is great, it does have a great intro movie, and music is top notch; However, the actual gameplay is very poor and the graphics dated. There is no point to trying to sneak around in the foliage, the only way to be successful is to charge at the enemy, die 50 times and maybe finally get through. I was bored with this game after 2 sessions and glad I borrowed it and didn't buy it. If you haven't checked out Call of Duty yet, it is a MUCH better gameplay experience, it may not have the fancy movies or music but the gameplay and graphics more than makes up for it.

Summary: Good Morning Vietnam
Review: First of all you will see a lot of bad reviews for this game by people who have little to no coordination. The reason bad reviews are given is becauce they do not take enough time to understand the game. Secondly the Nvidia video cards, the Asus motherboards and the Atholon processors(yes AMD) beat hands down any Intell-Radeon-VIA combo. The fact of the matter is that no matter how many gigaherts you have you will not get the desired gameplay if your hardware is not compatable or is not designed for "The Gameplay Experience". I give Battle Field: Vietnam two thumbs way up for Era Authentisity and Graphic Content. If you want to test it for your self and are in the Rogue Vally area (OR) come to Cyber Center (http://www.cybercenterusa.com)

Summary: Inconsistent
Review: I bought this game with much anticipation, and after reading all the other reviews, I thought to myself that these reviewers dont know what they are talking about. So I buy the game, confindent that PC could run the game smoothly. Surely it would, right? WRONG. C'mon now, I am running an AMD Athlon 3400+ (64 bits and faster than any P4 chip out right now), 1 gig of DDR PC3200 RAM, a 256 MB Geforce FX 5950 Ultra and the game lags offline and even worse on. Do not waste your time.

Summary: Could have been good but...
Review: The first time I heard of this game I thought " finally a shoot'em game set in Vietnam and since it is being made by EA it should great." I was wrong, very wrong. This game is so buggy everytime I blow someting up the screen screws up and I have to push Escape,go the main menu and press escape again to get back to the game so screen will be fixed. This usually works 75% of the time. And sometimes the screen just screws up and have to do that process I just explained. At first this game was great, but after a week or so, I got so angry I stopped playing it. It could have been a great game, but it is so buggy. The only thing I like about this game is the music while flying a HueyCobra (it's a Attack Helicopter with a alot of rockets) and blowing up enemy tanks which screws up the screen. Oh, yes I forget to mention this. If you have already bought this game and are having the problems like me if you shoot the rocket at the enemy tank and look away it might not screw up the screen. This works 60% of the time. If you are thinking of buying this game, don't. If you want a good shoot'em up game, go buy Call of Duty or Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising. P.S. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one star is because the music is good. The only thing good about it is the music. Now, I have warned you.

Summary: The flight of the valkries
Review: Yes, Battlefied Vietnam is here yay. This is a fun and addicting game. Even though the american are far more powerful than the poor vietnamees. Yes that is right I am talking about the (M60). Beside that the game turned out pretty good. Between far cry and BF vietnam... I would choose Bf vietnam. It is an all around fun game. The most funest thing to do is get in to a chopper and play the song on my title. Im so good at this game it is funny. (-:

Summary: Great Game
Review: I don't understand the bad reviewers. Apparently they are just "PC Gamer Snobs". Anyway, I bought this game and the online play is amazing. I really can't imagine a better game to play online with others. The graphics and functionality are great. The only drawbacks I have are: (1) hard to organize people to attack and hold bases(flags), which is probably difficult in most online play games like this, (2)the learing curve isn't too bad, but it takes a while to figure out how to successfully fly planes and helicopters.

You'll like this game, unless you're the type to find issues with everything and complain.

NOTE: If you are one to not play multi-player online, this game is not for you.

Summary: Absolutely Horrible
Review: I was debating on buying this one or Far Cry and for some reason assumed that since the Battlefield series had so much popularity and EA was an established name in the gaming world that BF: Vietnam would be a smarter choice. Boy was I wrong.
First off this game plays like a bad beta version. On my 2.8 Gig Pentium Proc, GeForce 4 MX 440, 1 gig DDR, system, it lags. My system exceeds if not doubles the minimum requirements and this game runs like I was using an old 486.
Secondly, the controls on this game sucks. The controls needed to use the helicopters and jets are too complicated for a controller, but too hard to configure on a keyboard and mouse set-up. Try doing a bombing run in the jet. Near impossible (and I am an avid Microsoft Flight sim pilot). The interaction levels with the computer allies are horrible. Most of them can't drive with you in the vehicle, you can't tell them where to go and when to stop.
Lastly, the computer AI is messed up. The computer AI is way too easy on the easy level, and too hard on the normal level. Evenin the custom mode unless you play around with it you can't get it right.
Wonder what happened to EA's pride in their games. They owe everybody a refund and an apology. Anything over 2 stars for this game is insane.

Summary: Vietnam's BF1942
Review: I was so excited to get this game, I was ready for a whole new game from EA.
I was really disappointed when I got it. It is Battlefield 1942 with a few improvements:
1) You can see how long it will take for the flag to change
2) It uses a "3D Map", basically it marks all your allies on the screen for you so there's less friendly fire
3) You can shoot out of vehicles
4) You can play music in vehicles
5) New weapons and vehicles.

If you have Battlefield 1942, think long and hard about buying this. It isn't bad, it's just not that much better than BF1942.
If you don't have BF1942 and would like a superb 1st person shooter, this is the one for you.
