Summary: This game is 80% done
Review: Anarchy Online is about 80% complete. The problem is, the 20% that's missing is the fun part.
The graphics, skill system, sound... they're all awesome. But the monsters all act the same, and the game is terribly unreliable. The game was released with serious bugs and it hasn't improved measurably.
What's more, the requirements on the box are hogwash. I ran it on an Athlon 1.4 with 512MB of RAM and a Geforce2 MX video card and it still had performance issues in busy areas.
All of this would be bearable if there were some reason to keep playing. The only thing to do in the game now is level, and that's no basis for a MMORPG. You level, and then what? Level some more? Why? It's frustrating.
It's obvious that the game was released too soon. It's too bad. They've got 80% of it done.

Summary: This game had such potential
Review: I was a huge fan of this game, I couldn't wait for it to be released and I pre-ordered it a month in advance. Just a bit over 3 months after release I'm here to say I'm extremely disappointed in the way the game came out. I was a staunch defender of the game in the early release, telling others to wait it'll get better things will change. Sorry to say, things didn't get better, things didn't change.

I spent about 2 months as an advisor in ARK in the game, I saw the inner workings of their customer support first hand. They didn't even have the basics available, let alone the advanced tools, needed to run a game with this many people playing. The Advisors are great people that really care about the game, but they don't have the tools needed to do customer support. I really hate to say this, but unless something amazing and miraculous happens in the next few patches, this game is over for me.

I really love this game though, and it has terrific potential, but the bugs, exploits, lack of content etc. has turned me off.

Summary: MMORPG Revolution
Review: Even though this game has some bugs and can be hard to install, it is the best MMORPG's that I have played. This game has more potential than any other one I have played. I bet that many other games in the future will take notes from the mechanics of this game.

The only draw back is that the game was released too early. There are still a few bugs in it, but I can look past these bugs.

If you have played games where people "camp" for items and/or a creature, and this annoyed you, then you will like this game. There is nothing to camp like that. So everyone has an equal chance to get anything.

Funcom also takes action against Exploiters unlike Turbine....

Summary: Please pass this one by!
Review: This game is a basic shell of a game, which means right now, it works but very basically. There is no content. Pass this one by.

Summary: There's so much I COULD say....
Review: The title of my review says it all. There are so many problems with this game I could go on for hours talking about them. But since most of those problems have been described in numerous other reviews here, I'll go straight to my summation....

Save your money. Save your time. Save yourself. Don't buy AO.

Summary: I am so disappointed...
Review: When AO was close to being put on the market i was so excited. The idea of a futuristic mmorpg was awesome.
From the time i tried to even log on i knew i was going to be disappointed. Constant crashes, disconnects, and horrible lag were just the beginning. Tons and tons of bugs. Tons of people using exploits and bugs to cheat their way through the game. Unbalanced classes in a pvp game. And most important to me was after 2+ months of trying to overcome these obstacles i found out how dull and boring AO really is. You have the same routine from the day you start playing till the day you quit. You will fight the same monsters at level 60 that you fought at level 1 (just tuffer compared to your level). You will hunt in the same missions at level 60 that you did at level 1. You will wear the same looking armor and use the same weapons at level 60 that you wore/used at level 1 (just higher quality to combat the more powerful same looking monsters).

I really regret paying money for this.

Summary: Good game, with problems
Review: This game, for me, has been an enjoyable experience. The game has a high immersion factor. The future world is a great change from the medieval so often found. Technical problems were common at the beginning but have been much improved. The use of individualized missions is very good [but I do wish for a greater variety]. I have heard of some players being affected by serious bugs, but so far, none have hit my characters. I play several hours a night and rarely crash. I am looking forward to the additon of more content and the promised new 'plotlines'. I would advise on having a decent amount of RAM [256mb and higher] and with a fairly current grfx card, all the gorgeous graphics are available.

Summary: Insert Flush Sound Here
Review: I have played Ultima Online, Everquest, And Asheron's Call for about a year each. I bought AO (Anarchy Online) when it first came out and played it for a month. Out of the 4 MMORPG's I have played, AO is by far the worst. If you like to kill stagnant spawns for hours and hours to get levels so you can kill higher level stagnant spawns, this is the game for you. There is very little in this game other than leveling. There are no static dungeons, quests, or unique/rare items. Funcom has promised to add these but until then, don't waste your money. Wait for another game, or try AC EQ, or DAoC.
