Summary: an okay movie - I guess..
Review: I seen this movie on Saturday and at first I was mostly appauld at the way the movie pokes fun at people who are different. But once I relaxed and got into the movie I have to admit it was really funny. I wouldn't go back to see this nor will I rent it on video -but- I have to admit it was funny...

Summary: People relax, its just a movie
Review: I have seen some people crying about how this movie is really offensive to people in immune problems. I, however thought it was a triumph for people with major medical problems. Even though he was incapable of fighting off a single germ, he risked it all for the girl of his dreams. I think this should be an inspiration to all handicapped people out there that no matter how bad it is, do not let it stop you from living. Just my thoughts on the movie. I also thought it was very funny movie and accomplished what it set out do and that was to entertain and make people laugh. . .

Summary: Repulsive yes--but there is a point
Review: Jimmy grows up in a bubble. When he falls in love with the girl next door, he must stop her wedding to the wrong guy. As he has no clue about the real world, he goes out and offends everyone. People will find it repulsive, and that is a good thing. Hate & discrimination are repulsive. But BUBBLE BOY is not about a boy in a plastic bubble. The bubble symbolizes how we all live in a bubble of somekind that holds us back from knowing who and what people really are. The movie is sick with stereotypes and a bad sequence involving the sacred cow. But it enlightens as well. I think the real story is about how someone would do anything for the person he loves--even risk being ridiculed. The people that have condemned this movie better avoid Jay and Silent Bob...!

Summary: This looks pretty cool.
Review: BUBBLE BOY is about a young man, Jimmy Livingston (Jake Gyllenhaal - last seen in OCTOBER SKY), who was born with a weak immune system and lived his whole life in a huge bubble to protect it. Then he finds out that his childhood crush, Chloe (Marley Shelton - last seen in SUGAR & SPICE), is about to get married to another man. To win her over, he leaves his house and tries to find a way to stop her wedding. I don't know if this film is supposed to be a comedy - I saw the previews and it looked like it was supposed to be a comedy. But other people say it's supposed to be a love story. Well, I think it's actually a romantic-comedy. It's different from most romantic-comedies. The plot looks really interesting and unqiue. The actors are pretty talented actors, especially Jake Gyllenhaal (he's also a real hottie). Anyways, when this film hits theaters August 24, this is definitely one that you should see - I know I'm gonna go see it.

Summary: love story
Review: This movie is about a boy, Jimmy Livingstion (Jake Gyllenhaal from October Sky), who was born with a faulty immune system, so he as to live in a plastic bubble almost his entire life. He falls in love with his childhood sweetheart and next-door neighbor, Chloe (Marley Shelton from Sugar and Spice), who provides a breath of fresh air but is about to get married to another guy. Jake Gyllenhaal says, "It's a wonderful love story-a freaky, awesome ride with crazy characters." I give this movie 4 stars because I only know about the main plot and the stars and I haven't seen it yet.

Summary: bright and shiny
Review: This movie really suprised me. You really want to root jimmy on. Here is a kid who is born with a horrible disease, and he overcomes that just so he can live life and pursue love. I found the bubble to represent more what holds us all back and we need to break out to live life to its fullest. Some will get offended by some of the stereotypes. But, in the end, you really love all the characters and they all care about each other. If you liked films like, Saving Silverman or Old School, this might be for you.

Summary: Adrian Monk oughta take a hint from this movie
Review: If anyone has Tony Shalhoub as the obsessive compulsive detective Monk on USA, you'll see that he is like the Bubble Boy (afraid of germs). Maybe the writers can have Mr. Monk solve murder mysteries in a plastic bubble.

Summary: Outrageously Funny!
Review: I am a huge comedy fan, and this is one to die for. It is wacky, creative, inspiring and even touching. It is about a boy (Jake Gyllenhall) named Jimmy Livingston who was born without immunities, so even one germ could kill him. He lives in Palmdale with his overprotective mother (Swoosie Kurtz) and rather quiet father. He is doing well in his bubble room until he meets Chloe (Marley Shelton), the girl next door, and falls madly in love with her. But after a while, Chloe goes off to get married in Niagra Falls. Having only three days to get there, Jimmy builds a protective "bubble suit" and sets off on an insane journey to the other side of the country! With hilarious figures along the way and non-stop laughs, Bubble Boy is a must-see!
