Summary: beyond compare
Review: "Ender's Game" was the most intense, fascinating book that I have ever read. It brings a mixture of joy and greif to your mind, making you always want to read on. An exhilating, fantastic novel definitely worth reading.

Summary: Ender was easy to relate to and inspiring
Review: I had just read Ringworld Throne(another good book), and was looking for a new series to read. I couldnt find anything perticulerly interesting, but i picked up Enders Game and a man behind me said "That's a great book. You'll love it". SO I read it. I really is a good book, its suprising, and you can really get into it. I felt sorry for Ender, but was also inspired by him, he kept facing new challenges and overcoming them (sometimes with complaints, but who can blame him?) and was a great charactor. I could easily relate to him, i am very small for someone 13. This was a good book and I recommend it to all.

Summary: The best sci-fi book out there!
Review: I first read Ender's Game at the recommendation of a friend expecting the regular human saves the world scenario. I was very suprised when I read Ender's Game because of the intellictual level and thought provoking power on every page. You became there watching the battle room games be conducted before you're very eyes and felt the pain that Ender felt. This is truly a must read for any genre leader. Fufinono

Summary: Just so-so.
Review: Okay, so a lot of folks have hyped this book and I figured I'd give it a try. The author writes in his introduction that reactions from readers to his book have been either that of hate or dislike. That he would feel he elicits such extreme reactions is sheer egotism on his part. I found the book to be only so-so and continued reading it to its end solely because of hype from others. The premise that a government would pin its hopes in winning a war (with extraterrestrials, no less!) on a child is an absurdity. The reaction from the child and humanity as whole to the child's utter destruction of an entire alien race is sorely underplayed and unrealistic. This book was a 'light' read and certainly not a "must read." If anyone tells you that you have to read some great sci-fi, it had best be by Bester or Ellison or Turteldove, to quickly name a few.

Summary: Ender is the success of my life
Review: I'd read the book once a couple of years ago and really loved the book. Even though I liked it, I still didn't understand it that well the first time I had read it.

There was a time when my life came to a depressed stage and I wasn't happy about who I am. I felt like a loser. Well, after picking up the book again, reading it for the second time, I'd learned and understood the book more completly this time. The book taught me so much. Ender taught me how to become a winner. He taught me how to be successful. He made me want to become an "Ender." He changed my life. He had given me a new purpose in my life.

I recommend this book to anyone who would like to read the best science fiction book ever. I can't wait to see the movie. Hope it comes out in the Summer of 2000.

Summary: I did NOT even want to read this book...BUT!!....
Review: I must admit that I had NO desire to read this book. I read the back sleeve of the book to see what it was about and was completely unimpressed. So...it sat unread for about 3 weeks. (a friend loaned me the book) One day I didn't have the book I was reading at the time so I reluctantly picked up Ender's Game and began reading. Well, about 5 pages into the book I was like "WOW, I'm really liking this...I'm gonna read the whole thing!" I stayed up day and night reading that book and I was just in pure awe. You develope real feelings for these characters. I honestly don't know quite how to word how much I enjoyed this book and what it means to me. I've read a great many reviews about this book and I finally found one that hits really close to the mark of how I see it. So here is a little excerpt from that review.. ***Ender's Game is the story of growing up alone, trying to find independence when none is allowed, trying to find meaning in a life whose meaning has already been defined. Almost everyone has at some time felt himself or herself to be in the same kind of no-win situation as Ender Wiggin, and the triumph of the book is not that Ender Wiggin "wins," but that he grows up along the way.*** Purchase this book immediately. You can thank me later. ;)

Summary: Sometimes you gotta trust them reviews
Review: My girlfriend said that I had to read this book...no matter what. From the way she described the story, I imagined space invaders (for those who are old enough to recall that video game) with suspense and sadness. So we surfed into amazon.com to check out the reviews. 800-odd reviews can't be wrong can it? I was sold. So I read Enders Game. You know what, Enders game is the best sci-fi book I have read in years. It is a simple read. It is brilliant work... and what caught me...was the reference to the "net" when at the time it was written there was no "net". A pleasure to read, the suspense gripping...I couldn't stop turning the pages... this was the fastest book I ever read...read this...no regrets.

Summary: Sometimes you gotta trust them reviews
Review: If you read all 800 odd reviews, you will find bits and pieces of the story, the buggers, ender wiggin etc etc. When I surfed into amazon.com to find a good sci-fi book to read, I thought that 700 -odd reviews can't be wrong. So I read Enders Game. Enders game is the best sci-fi book I have read in years. It is a simple read. It is brilliant work... and what caught me...was the reference to the "net" when at the time Mr Card wrote the book there was no "net". Sheer readability, the suspense was defying and when I reached the last page, book 2 "speaker for the dead" was already on my book shelf waiting to be read.Just go on, get the book and read it...

Summary: This book means more to me than any other I've ever read.
Review: I read this in conjunction with Ender's Shadow, and between them both, I really feel that this is an amazing look into the pressures of genius and responsibilities and the humans on the other side of the intellect. It's not so much about sci-fi then about people.
