Summary: I could't finish the book!
Review: Oh my God! I could only force myself to read the first few chapters and skim a few of the others. The writing was terrible! It was written like "It was a dark and stormy night" prose. If you are going to hire 4 writers, then at least hire GOOD ones. Give me a break with writing like "I was gasping for air"..come on! And all the name-dropping too. "Me and Mandela..." and "I got a standing ovation". and "me...me..I...I.." What an ego. It was like an 8th grade novel writing contest entry. I only read about 100 pages. Could I get my money back for the other 450?

Summary: Living History? More like History of the World Part 2
Review: This book was an attempt to make Hillary look like the typical "taken advantage of" housewife. The question is, will America be illiterate enough to take this work of "fiction" and believe it to be true.

I applaud Mrs. Clintons grasp for money at any cost. Only in America.

Summary: Give me a break!
Review: I made an honest effort at reading this thing. I was really hoping to get some insight at what makes a person like this successful. If she really believes the things that she has said or says enough to gain the misguided trust of the left and launch herself into power. I was disappointed on all fronts.

Nothing new, more of the same, and typical ... Clinton attempt at the truth. Anyone who reads this with a knowledge of the events as they unfolded or an intuition of self-righteous writing will see that in a second. The only thing that can be gained here is more people seeing through this woman in her own words and her dishonesty. Hopefully this book will end her political career before it goes any further.

I never really considered myself on the left, but after reading this, perhaps I have been on the wrong side of politics if this person is the "up and coming star" of the Democratic party.

Save your money

Summary: Hillary Needs To Be President!
Review: O.k.. . .this book doesn't make any startling revelations, but I didn't expect that anyway! It is, however, a great look into the history of the Clinton administration and Hillary's thoughts and opinions on the events as they unfolded. I found it very interesting and filled me in on the early history of Bill and Hillary's relationship and their experiences in Arkansas.

I am not sure where all the "lies" that other reviewers seem to have found are in this book. All I found in this book were the thoughts and opinions of a very intellegent and politically saavy woman. How can opinions be "lies"? I think the more hateful reviews are probably the result of those who dislike Hillary anyway and just read the book to fuel their own narrow-minded political discussions.

A must-read for those who like to be politically informed--this Clinton background will come in handy in 2008 when Hillary is on the ballot!!

Summary: A good book, - fair -not what some people say
Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. It was written with flair and style, but also with a kind of blunt, enjoyable sensibility. Hillary Clinton knows she's a lightning rod for controversy and doesn't shy away from that; rather acknowledging it in a self-deprecating, humble way. I liked that approach and felt it made the book interesting and - dare I said it - honest.

Summary: the Hilldabeast talks, and no one listens.
Review: poorly written (not by PIAPS) fluff piece attempting to portray herself as the hapless victim of her wandering hubby, in order to garner the sympathy vote in '08.... I couldn't finish it. Costco has millions on remainder. go there if you've got to immerse yourself in this vile person.

Summary: The World from the First Lady's Perspective
Review: Just finsihed reading Living History and I enjoyed the book because it gave me an insight into Hillary and her life. I had no idea that she was raised a Republican and was a Goldwater Girl in college. Her travels around the world on behalf of women's rights are perhaps, the most interesting part of the book for me. For eight years she spoke in front of groups on all the continents from China to India to Africa and everywhere in between. I don't think a First Lady since Eleanor Roosevelt has been such an ambassador, especially in countries where women are treated as second class citizens. It's a good read.

Summary: It was no surprise....
Review: ... I bought and read the book out of curiosity and without a strong opinion (positive or negative) of Hillary Clinton. After actually reading the book, I discovered how admirable she is. In fact, her book is a substantial record of how she swam against a very strong tide in her work to provide all people with health care (and is glad she tried even though she failed), worked to protect the human rights of women and children in our country and around the world.... on the Clinton record, these are not "lies." ...

Summary: Behind the scenes of living history
Review: This book was painful trip to the recent past. We had a shiny new president who was brilliant, loved people and had a mission to get the country back on track, yet his every accomplishment was poisoned by the ruthless efforts of the Republican leadership to make sure he didn't have a second term. And as we all know, in the end he was brought down in humiliation for behavior that is historically common in the corridors of power. Hillary's book details those frustrating times, sets the record straight for all those who would believe the lies and support the fruitless investigations. I am not intimidated by a woman of intelligence and power--too bad so many people are. She is a credit to our race.

Summary: Hillary haters go home
Review: I was never a Hillary hater, but I was never a Hillary lover either. This book has given me a new found appreciation for Senator Clinton.

Welcome to Hillaryland (Its in the book), this book will give you access to the first ladies life. It may be biased on her behalf, but what do you expect, after all if you wanted to see an expose theres well over 20 books on this subject. If your looking for sex drugs and rock@roll then you have the wrong book, this is a rated G performance so feel free to let the children take a look.

The number one reason why you should buy this book is the price. The books are flying off the shelves, and yet you can get a first print at [money].
The number two reason is the pictures. Some people age very well, and Hillary is one of those people. Actually looking at her extensive collection of pictures it can be said that she makes a better middle aged woman then a woman in her 20's (If you dont believe me look at the pictures)
The third is for her point of view. Why do we place blame on Senator Clinton? If blame is to be handed out her husband is the one to blame for his own infidelity and so forth.
