Summary: Get past the first 200 pgs., you are in for a great book.
Review: I had a hard time with the first couple hundred pages, but kept with it and found I could not put the book down. I LOVED it. In fact, I have not read another book in a few weeks because this one left me so moved. Stick with it, it is well worth your time in the beginning and I can't imagine anyone not loving this book.

Summary: Realistic and engrossing
Review: Everyone is so sure that Wally Lamb has gone overboard with this novel regarding so-called calamities. How can so much happen to one person? This novel says a great deal about the cycles of violence and the gumption it takes to say enough is enough. This is a wonderful read, honest and moving, despite it's intimidating page count. Read this.

Summary: Unbelieveable Read!!!!!
Review: I have no intention of going on forever in this review, so one of the only things I have to say is read it!!!!! I have been telling people that since February when I was first mesmerized by it, and recently picked it up again to re-visit Dominick, who I missed the second the book ended. Never have 900 pages flown by so fast. If this book is made into a movie, can Hollywood even come close to capturing the beauty and humanity of it?

Summary: Intense and Compelling from Beginning to End
Review: Do not begin this novel unless you are prepared to finish! (It is a hard read with the small print when you are reading in the wee hours of the morning.) There are twists and turns that take you in and out of the dysfunctional family, reminding me of "The Prince of Tides." Wally Lamb has certainly won me over. I'm impressed and though I waited a year to read it, I'm so glad I did.

Summary: Definitely one of the best books I've ever read!
Review: This is the book I've been recommending to all my friends. A powerful and moving story. 900 pages yet so easy to read! I was hooked from beginning to end. As an avid reader, I read so many books in quick succession, that I often forget the stories and titles of past reads...this is one I won't soon forget. Yes, the ending was a tad bit tidy, but beautiful and satisfying just the same.

Summary: Wally Lamb is a Master Storyteller
Review: This book deserves 10 stars! I didn't think Wally Lamb would be able to follow-up the mega-success of "She's Come Undone" with anything half as good as this story. This author is fabulous. This story is about twins -- one is mentally ill, the other is not. I don't like to talk too much about the story particulars, just suffice it to say, I know this book is almost 1000 pages; but you won't want it to end. Fabulous, wonderful, amazing!

Summary: The best book to come along in years!!
Review: I Know This Much Is True is an epic tale of tragedy, comedy, and a heroism. Wally Lamb has captured the tragedy of Schizophrenia while going on with life, which is what everyone has to do anyway. As a family member of a person with Schizophrenia, and a mental health worker, I was struck by how much insight Wally Lamb had into this illness. If there would be a negative, it would be the sheer number of "catastrophe's" included in the book. All in all, the book was consuming, funny, tragic, and I absolutely loved the ending. I, too, have kept the last paragraph of the book in a special place.

Summary: Super book!
Review: Great reading! Couldn't put it down and it never lost my interest

Summary: Unbelievable!!!!
Review: Absolutely astounding. A bit slow at first but ultimately worth it's weight in gold.

Summary: Compelling - I'm sad it's over!
Review: This book was wonderful. Wally Lamb has a rare gift which truly allows the reader to KNOW his main characters and feel what they feel. He is a genius. This book will take you through a brother's struggle to cope with his twin's schizophrenia and his childhood. 894 pages went very quickly!
