Summary: Attention to Wally Lamb fans!
Review: On page 490 of I know this much is true Thayer Kitchen from she's come undone is mentioned. Anyone else notice? Could there be a third book to come that relates our favorite characters? Let's hope so.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Characters superbly drawn. Excellent research.
Review: This book is a modern classic. Wally Lamb has delineated his characters. He has done his research on schizophrenia. He has interwoven a complex tapistry. It is a book about all the travails of life, all the reasons to despair, all the reasons to not belive in redemption. And yet, the central character finds his way and sends a message to all of us. I have never cried at the end of a book, except this one. This story moved me and will move you. It is must reading.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Great writing, but very poor and trivial ending
Review: Dear Lamb. Next time, please follow through with the book and don't make such a commercial ending. You are an excellent writer who really knows how to capture the characters, but the ending just seems so trivial. If you had followed through this would have been a masterpiece

Summary: She's Come Undone
Review: I really enjoyed 'She's Come Undone' although I found it to be quite depressing at times. It is an interesting read, and I liked it enough to go out and het his second book. I think I'm enjoying that one more...but I'm not done with it yet.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Excellent recounting of the emotions we feel as we grow old
Review: What I partuclarly like about Wally Lamb's books are their ability to evoke the quality of the feelings most of us go through growing up. This book has helped me to be a better parent by putting me in touch with the way I felt as a kid and how I wished my parents had reacted to those feelings. In addtion to all of this - its a great story.

Summary: This is a must read for everyone
Review: I just finished reading this book and I have tears in my eyes. As someone who lives with a family member that has mental illiness, this book rings true. There is so much to do with one that is mentally ill and Mr. Lamb portrayed it so accurately. Not only does one have to go on living life, but living life without guilt as to why one of you was chosen. I was caught up with it within the first few chapters and couldn't put it down until I finished. I will definately read more of Mr. Lamb's books

Summary: An amazing book about a man's journey towards self-discovery
Review: Wally Lamb has created a contemporary masterpiece that makes the reader compassionate towards talk-show type drama. One look at Dominick Birdsey's life will make you feel better about your own! A must-read that explores the perils of family. You will not be able to put it down.

Summary: Read this book
Review: As a twin I would like to congratulate Wally Lamb for writing one of the most moving books I have ever read involving twins. He has captured the power that exist between twins, the power that connects us for life. I also enjoyed the way Mr. Lamb wrapped the various stories together, creating a wonderful package for readers to open up page after page. I will definitely be looking for his next book!

Summary: An Unforgettable Experience...
Review: I am an English teacher, so when it comes to reading novels in the summertime, I am very picky. I loved Wally Lamb's first novel She's Come Undone, and I couldn't wait to read his second. I can honestly say that I Know This Much Is True is one of my favorite novels of all time! I could NOT put this book down. Lamb allows the reader to journey through the ups and downs of a man we as readers grow to love and cheer for. Lamb's writing style is beautiful, smooth, realistic, and modern. He is a great observer of human nature! This novel filled my heart with so many emotions, and my mind was forced to linger with so much food for thought... When I read the very last sentence, I actually hugged the novel and wished that it wouldn't end. (Perhaps there will be a sequel? ) I am a HUGE new fan of Wally Lamb. I can't WAIT for his next masterpiece. (And someday he is definitely going to find his works on my reading list for my students!) If you haven't yet read this book, DIVE IN!!! You are in for an unforgettable experience...

Summary: This is an amazing book.
Review: When I finished reading this book, I just sat on my bed in awe. I felt myself examining my own life and decisions that I have made right along with Dominic Birdsey. I have not read a book that made me think so much about my life since I read The Catcher in the Rye in high school. I have recommended this book to several of my close friends. Truly a masterpiece by Lamb.
