Summary: I loved this book.
Review: I put aside many tasks and entertainment obligations, went to bed early just so I could keep with with Dominick and Thomas. I read his first book with moderate enjoyment.....this one leaves it in the dust.....great reading, interesting and thought provoking.

Summary: I know this book's for you.
Review: I had a long summer ahead of me and decided to read Lamb's novel after watching him on Oprah. I did not think I would really relate to the book. I am a 20 year old, female going to college and I do not have a twin. However I soon realized how wrong I was. Everyone can relate to this book. There are so many different parts to the story and the characters become like family. What affects them affects you. I went around the house telling my family and my friends what was happening in the story and they couldn't wait for me to tell them what was going to happen next. I couldn't wait to find out. It took me three weeks to read the book. It is almost a thousand pages, but in a book that wonderful you almost wish there were more pages. Lamb finishes the book well. Every question is answered. I felt like I healed along with the main character. I didn't even know I was hurt, but the story is so cathartic. It made me realize that you can learn form everyone you know in life, wether you like them or not. I learned and felt a lot through out this novel and it inspired me to write. I cannot wait until his third book. Since I KNOW THIS MUCH IS TRUE, I have read SHE'S COME UNDONE by Lamb, and it too was wonderful. He is an amazing author.

Summary: Too Long!
Review: I watched Oprah and was kind of insulted to hear her say that once you had finished this book you were a real reader. Well I finished this in about a week and found it ultimately to be a bit of a chore. It was about three hundred pages too long and the repetition Wally Lamb uses just does not work. Sure the characters are likeable and the situations involving but it was just too long. I am a real reader and have been reading all of my life and would still be even if I hadn't read this. Don't listen to Oprah, if you want to be a reader don't read something that you don't like or something that you think is going to be too long. I Know This Much Is True is good, it's like She's Come Undone however, it's just not great.

Summary: This was a great book!
Review: It was so interesting that I didn't even relize how long it was. I recieved this book as a Christmas gift after bugging my mom to buy it for me for about three monthes. I started reading at once and was engrossed in the book until two weeks later when I finished. There was a great ending to a mostly depressing book. It symbolized to me that even when your life is at its worst, there is always hope.

Summary: One of the worst books I have ever read!
Review: This book was one tragedy after another. There was not one likeable character. I waited to see how this was going to tie in to Lamb's wonderful first book She's Come Undone but never made the connection. Wasn't Dominick married to Delores? Who is Dessa? Dominick was an awful but entertaining character in the first book, and one miserable guy the second time around. I will probably not read anything by Wally Lamb ever again!

Summary: Couldn't put this one down!
Review: I took this book on vacation thinking that I would never pick it up once. I was so wrong! In fact, I spent my entire vacation reading it! Like other readers, the characters in the book consumed my day. I kept thinking about them and where their lives would turn next. The story of Dominick's grandmother was a little hokie, but the rest of the book made up for it! I truly enjoyed following Dominick's emotional and mental growth/healing. It was obvious how much he wanted to change for the better, but did not know where to begin or what being better meant. There is always hope in the end!

Summary: This is one of the most heartfelt books I have ever read!!!
Review: Wally Lamb is amazing. This book as well as his first comes from the most incredible standpoint that allows the reader to completely feel and understand the narrators emotions and concerns.

I know this much is true combines three generations of people, all exceptional in their own way, to create a present time individual that many of us can identify with. It is so important to know and understand your roots and I thoroughly enjoyed sharing the path of this man as he discovered himself, his brother and his elders.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Quite simply the best book I ever read.
Review: I would not recommend this book to anyone who is not willing to become completely absorbed into Wally Lamb's world for a few days. I thought this was one of the most powerful and gripping novels I have ever read. It has actually ruined me in a way because I now hold everything I read up to its standard, and so far everything has fallen short of its caliber. The only book that comes close is She's Come Undone, also by Wally Lamb. I am anxiously awaiting his next book!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: This much is true...Lamb writes another good one
Review: Having just read his previous novel, I dove into I Know This... eagerly. Though this book seems much darker than She's Come Undone, it is still very powerful and poignant, and Mr. Lamb is still an amazing, gifted writer with the power to move your heart and soul with his multifaceted characters and engaging plot lines.

Summary: One of the best books I have ever read.
Review: I was captivated until the very end. I waited to begin reading it when I knew I would be free from distractions. Since I am a high school English teacher, I teach various works of literature--some great ones actually--this book is right up there with them. There were so many interesting characters and stories to follow that I found myself going back to look up details from the beginning of the book. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to stretch his/her mind with the analysis of characters and events. I was enthralled with the mystery of Dominick's father mingled with the enchanting manuscript left by his grandfather. Not only was it an interesting story to read, but it also had many thought-provoking ideas.
