Summary: One of the most satisfying books I have ever read.
Review: Wally Lamb writes the kind of book that is so consuming and heartfelt that I found myself slowing down towards the end just to sustain the wonderful experience. The only thing that upsets me is that Wally Lamb has only written 2 novels. You will want to read this book again. Every time I reread the last paragraph, a wave of emotion moves over me. This is truly one of those unique experiences in reading when you feel as though you know the characters. One of the five best books I have ever read.

Summary: The story I wish I wrote
Review: I'm so glad Oprah chose this one! It's a great story that deserves the attention.

Compelling. Thought-provoking. Inspirational. I don't think I could have been more drawn to the characters.

I read a lot, and this is undoubtedly among my favorites. Thank you, Wally Lamb, for giving us this book. I have taken pieces of it with me.

Summary: Fabulous ... I Miss the Characters
Review: This was a fabulous book. I received this book as a christmas present. I believe it was the best present I received. It could have ended better and not so quickly, but still it was a great read. I have recommended this book to numerous friends.

Summary: I loved this book.
Review: She's Come Undone just floored me. I felt shades of Salinger - a most welcome feeling. And now, I Know This Much Is True has outdone Lamb's earlier work. I think that the character development is great - and with so many characters interweaving, it's no small feat. Wally Lamb just invites you to read his words with each character's voice - with different accents and colors. I honestly saw this book unrolling as a film does and found myself stealing time to read it as quickly as I could; only to be sad when it ended.

Summary: Most excellent... compare to Thomas Wolfe
Review: You fall into the lives of these characters as if you fell into a bucket and became the bucket. I know these two men intimately simply by the tale that dragged me kicking and screaming into their asylums, their internal and external prisons and by their love for each other and for the women in their lives. You'll walk away from this book, but you'll come back to it now and again because it just might change your life.

Summary: Impossiable not to get totally involed with characters!
Review: This book is so involved you find your self dreaming about it and thinking you are part of. Very long but didn't want it to end, couldn't stop reading. Anyone who has a family member with a mental illness will cry and laugh and relate. Recommended reading if you have a brother or sister with mental illness. Wally Lamb makes you think you are the person he is writing about. I loved his first book too!

Summary: When will it ever end???
Review: I loved Lamb's book "She's Come Undone" and I suppose that I expected the same here...but I was sadly disappointed. The characters seemed to drone on and become more pitiful by the moment. The interspersed stories of various characters were incredibly lengthy and boring, and didn't add much to the story. Not to mention the fact that suicide seemed the only way out (for me) towards the end! Would only recommend it to someone in need of some serious downers!!

Summary: Couldn't wait for the book to end
Review: I couldn't wait for this book to end. To me, the quality of a great book is that you are sorry that it is ending; this book made me wish it would just be over. I can't understand why so many people are raving about it.

Summary: An emotionally gripping read...
Review: I read this book after reading Wally Lamb's "She's Come Undone", as I found his writing style captivating. "I Know This Much Is True" ranks now as one of my favorites along with "The Catcher In The Rye". I became involved with the characters, and, as others have written, miss them now that I have finished the book. The characters are vividly portrayed, and the book brought out every emotion imaginable. I loved it, and look forward to Wally Lamb's next offering.
