Summary: Gripping, heart-wrenching story about family, love and life.
Review: This was one of the best books I've ever read. It enthralled me from the very beginning and kept me riveted until the very last page. Worth the time to read. Actually, worth reading again!

Summary: Part "Prince of Tides," part "100 Years of Solitude"
Review: This is an awesome, engrossing, engaging book: I don't remember anything about She's Come Undone, but I Know This Much is True is a wonderful piece of contemporary fiction; one of the best books I've read in this decade. Great read! The characters are the people we know in our own lives.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Sad, but too often the truth.
Review: At the beginning, I thought I would figure out the ending, but I was surprised! Some parts were difficult to read because of the all too realism of our planet. It brings home the dysfunction in each of our lives. The best part, of course, was the ending. I really enjoyed the realism that the main character took ownership of his life and did something about it, he changed.

Summary: UNFORGETTABLE
Review: I could not put this book down. I finished in less than a week reading at every opportunity. The characters were well defined and the story believable. I felt for Dominick at each one of lifes turns and felt for Thomas in his battle with himself. I found it heart wrenching that each brother could define himself only by the other brother. I read She's Come Undone and enjoyed it very much but Wally Lamb outdid himself with this book. I feel this book is the best work of fiction I have ever read, and hope Mr. Lamb writes another book soon.

Summary: Well developed plot and subplots
Review: I really liked this book. It was great reading and the characters pocesses quite alot of depth. The only complaint I have is that it seemed to me that that loose ends were tied up too neatly and quickly with less thought given to it than to the original story line. For example, the translation of PaPa's story just fell into Dominick's lap so conveniently and Thomas's death was so simple and quick........Dominicks life turned out predictably wonderful .....marrying his true love and combining the good of both himself and Thomas in his personality. All said, I would recommend this book and truely enjoyed it, in spite of the few aforementioned exceptions.

Summary: Much ado about very little
Review: Again, I am appalled at the outrageous support this novel has received from so many. I bought it with a lot of anticipation, having enjoyed She's Come Undone, even though that book was flawed, it was at least an entertaining read. This tome however, is a depressing mishmash of pschobabble, dysfunctional family memoir, and boring, unnecessary Italian immigrant history lesson.

Summary: Loved it!
Review: Would make a great gift for the avid fiction-reader on your Xmas list. The characters are very real and the story is wonderfully surprising.

Summary: I couldn't put this book down!
Review: I had read Wally Lamb's first book, "She's Come Undone". It was so bizarre that I couldn't put it down. But this book was so much better!! It was twisted and bizarre too, but I kept yearning to read more... to find out the truth. It also made me realize that no matter what has happened in my life, there are those who have had it worse. I absolutely loved the ending. Most books I read, I hate the endings, they leave you hanging and wanting to know more. With too many loose ends hanging. I felt so good when I finished this book. A must-read that I will recommend to many!!

Summary: Good, but not great
Review: I enjoyed reading this book; however, the "book within the book" was unnecessary and, well, frankly boring. I would have skipped over this bit but Mr. Lamb puts it in the final half of the book so I felt obligated to read it since I had already invested so much time in the story. Also the ending is too pat... The ends of the story are tidied up too nicely. I didn't buy it.

Summary: Awe inspiriring, moving, and excellent- Best I've found.
Review: Working in a bookstore, I've seen my fair share of hits and misses, but none compares to the magic of Wally Lamb's ability to take a subject he is not dealing with directly and make it seem incredibly real. I was drawn to this book because I have a twin sister and am planning to become a psychiatrist. I was skeptical because of the length and committment that I would have to make to this book, but I am so glad that I did. I think Wally Lamb is the master of the written word. I recommend this book as much as possible-I hope everyone loves this book as much as I did. Lamb has a gift. I think he researched his portrayal of Thomas and Dominick's relationship very well-I felt like he could actually relate to the bond between my sister and I. I feel fortunate I stumbled upon such a wonderfully powerful book. I didn't like She's Come Undone, but this book surpassed my expectations by all I could imagine. Mr.Lamb, you are a marvelous writer. I'll continue to recommend you to my customers as long as I continue to love this book, and that's forever. Your book is an emotional inspiration and I loved it. Thank you for making me stick with this book- I am so glad that I read this. I am a loyal fan for life.
