Summary: First time reader
Review: I have not honestly read a book from front to back in my life. My friend gave me this book to read and I started. Thinking that it would just be other book I start and never finish. Guess what I could not put it down. It was a great book, it keeps you guessing, makes you happy, sad and even mad at times. It is a great book if you are a person trying to get back into reading and have been reading forever.

Summary: Terrible!
Review: I usually only write a review on amazon for something that I've really enjoyed, but I feel like it's my civic duty to save others from reading this book. I read a lot of romance novels and I'm the queen of loving mushy-mush, so I feel like I'm completely qualified to make this statement: This book was one of the worst I have ever read(in recent memory anyway). I have a policy of always finishing a book I start (I even finished Moby Dick), but if not for that, I never would have finished this one. I think the problem with this book is that James Patterson is just trying too hard. He's writing outside of his genre and the reader pays for it. If some other romance writer had come up with this idea, it probably would have been a great book, but as it is, the writing is way too forced and awkward and it makes the reader uncomfortable at first and then completely disbelieving that anything as bad as what they're reading could possibly have made it on any kind of best-seller list. If you're really in the mood for a tear-jerker romance, try reading any of Kristin Hannah's books. They're not too sexually explicit and as far as writing heartbreak goes--nobody does it better than her. I would especially recommend On Mystic Lake and Angel Falls; they are two of the best books I have read recently. Make sure to grab your tissues though!

Summary: Silly
Review: I am very surprised that this book is not subtitled "Aren't I lucky?" I must have read the word lucky at least 50 times in this short book! I found the ending of this book contrived so as to create surprise, as in other places. The writing was very juvenile. It is, however, a sure to be TV movie! I can picture Sela Ward there with some gorgeous, rugged unknown at her side. If you read a lot of good books; a serious reader, save your money and your time.

Summary: Fabulous!
Review: This book was excellent! You'll be sure to read it in the matter of hours, I simply couldn't put it down! Excellent read, although its very different from anything you'd expect from Patterson!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Touching
Review: This is a great book with a touching story! This is the first I've read of this author and enjoyed it very much.I also recommend Pop Goes the Weasel which is very different from this one but superbly written as well.

Summary: Cheesy
Review: We read this book for our book club, and the only person who liked the book was the one who recommended it. The characters were not real - just a little too perfect. The author did a terrible job trying to capture a woman's point of view - his tone/style sounded the same whether he was writing the diary for Suzanne or Matt.

The most positive comment from our book club was that this book gives hope to aspiring authors, because if it made it to the best sellers list, then they have a chance as well.

Summary: Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas
Review: This book is truely a wonderful book I could not put it down. I read it non stop. And have passed it on to several friends who have enjoyed it just as much.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Captive
Review: I read this book in one day, I could not put it down. A very different James Patterson but just as great as ever. I strongly recommend this book. You will love the characters and the writing is extraordinary.
I have since passed it on to all of my friends who have all equally enjoyed it as much as me.

Summary: Would not recommend for anyone who is a serious reader
Review: Every part of this book is contrived, I did not feel any sympathy for any of the characters at all.
Not even a good romance here. Would not have read past the first page if not reading for a book group. We may get 2-3 minutes worth of discussion our of this book, if that!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not too shabby!!
Review: I'm not a huge fan of the whole "thriller/horror" genre. I do like Patterson, however. He brings his characters to life...you empathize with them...you KNOW them...rather than just running behind them in the woods prior to the head-chop.

This book is wonderful. He brings that same empathy, and character development to another realm, or genre...and still leaves you wondering "what if" at the end.

All men should read this...Patterson seems to have a window into women...and we should learn from it...apply it to our lives...realize what we have...or maybe

...what we are missing.
