Summary: A Patterson Flop
Review: HELP! I must have missed something while reading this book. I did not need any kleenex to read this Danielle Steele look-alike. How beautiful and wonderful and perfect can everyone be? James, PLEASE go back to mysteries! I was so amazed to read the reviews that raved and raved over this book! Thank heavens this was a library book and I suffered no outlay of cash.

Summary: Read this book in a day!
Review: "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas" is a mesmerizing love story between Matt and Suzanne. Suzanne, left a diary for her son, Nicholas and it detailed her life, her expectations, how she met her future husband and how she dealt with her illness. Her diary was left to Matt's girlfriend, Katie (after the death of Suzanne) so that Katie could understand the difficulties that Matt was going through.

The characters in the book are very "real" and you feel as though you know them personally. This is a story of determination, courage, survival and most importantly, love for living, love for your family members and love for yourself. However, I am not satisfied with the ending, as Patterson did not deal with the period after the death of Suzanne to the time he met Katie. I am also disappointed because, personally, I believe if the love with Suzanne and Matt is so real, which in the book is very real, he would not be able to find a replacement for Suzanne that quickly, if it is possible at all. I guess, I wish the author addresses this issue. Otherwise, I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a relaxing yet hard-to-put-down book.

Summary: couldn't put it down
Review: This book was wonderful. I found it to be a very quick read and full of emotion. My only question is "are there really men like Matt???" If so, where?

Summary: Definitely a page-turner!
Review: I'm a die-hard Nicholas Sparks fan and very rarely do I find myself wanting to read anything, particularly a love story, written by anyone else. I'd been reading so many positive reviews of this book that I had to give it a chance. And I'm glad I did. Very glad! What I loved most about it was that as far as romance goes, my breath was caught in my throat throughout the entire story. I kept trying to guess what made Matt leave Katie or why he would destroy a rare picture perfect marriage. I was wrong on all counts and was so taken by the unexpected conclusion. Another reviewer commented that the near- perfection of the marriage and the characters got to be a little annoying. I don't think so. I didn't think they were perfect. They were human. They made mistakes. The only difference between them and most of us is that they realized it before it was too late and lived each moment in love as if it were their last. I always thought that's how it should be. The lesson of the 5 balls, remember? Anyway, hats off to the author for venturing into a completely different genre and doing it well! (I give it 4 stars only because I reserve 5 for anything Nicholas Sparks writes).

Summary: Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas.... heartwarming story
Review: It is impossible to get your nose out of Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson. In this sweet love story of both romance and mystery, Katie struggles to understand why the man she thought she loved left her. Matt has handed down the diary of a new mother Suzanne who made a document of all her hopes and memories of her new family and marriage. Katie begins to understand with much hurt what has happened and wonders with all her heart whether she and this new love of hers has a chance of surviving. I really enjoyed this book being a romance lover and could not put it down. Like Katie I just wanted to understand what was happening. I especially liked the characters that James Patterson developed throughout the novel. They were just the type that I hope to meet in my future years. This book should be read by anyone who enjoys an easy and quick, yet heartwarming love story. I would definitely rate this book with five stars.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: ...5 stars for the concept, 2 for the book
Review: I have to admit...this book was a real let down. The idea was fabulous, five star. I looked forward to it for months. Unfortunately, the book was too poorly written to do the story justice.

The diary was totally unbelieveable (how many of us refer to our spouses by their names, when speaking to our children, rather than by "Daddy" or "Mom"? Patterson does this through the whole book). As well, Patterson writes the story with a real male (forgive me guys...) lack of feeling. At no time did I feel any sorry for the anyone in the book, as I never really saw them as people. These two very huge issues left the book unsatisfying and almost boring.

Again, I thought the subject was terrific and could have been done very, very well....best seller material. But, I truly feel I could have written a better version (which is not saying a whole lot)...but I really would have loved to read the book had it been written by someone really good, like Lavryle Spencer.

Summary: A gentler side is revealed at long last!
Review: I am a huge fan of this famous writer -- that being said; I'd like to also say that I truly enjoyed the opportunity to witness firsthand the gentler side of Mr.Paterson's writing ability.

"Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas" although not his usual norm was an excellent read...one I'm sure he should be most proud of.

I think the characters were very believable, the dilogue crisp, sharp and focused, and the plot heartfelt, touching and yes...even moving. A very appealing combination for the reader.

"Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas" could very well be the next 'Box Office Smash Hit'!

Summary: Very Moving - Great Summer Read!
Review: Pick up Suzann'es Diary for Nicholas, grab the tissues and settle in for an afternoon of reading by the pool. Keep your sunglasses on and people won't know you are crying! While you are at it, pick up The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks and Shade of the Maple by Kirk Martin - even more powerful, but you'll need a whole box with these powerhouses!

Summary: An Emotional Read?
Review: I bought this book thinking I should find out what all these great reviews are talking about. I did enjoy it, but to be honest the perfect life of the characters really got to me. How realistic is that really? I was thinking it was going to be a heartbreaking emotional ride, but really when it was supposed to be sad I was so fed up with the bunch that I couldnt be that sympathetic and I cry at anything! I am still giving it 4 stars because it was a nice read, just not what I expected.
