Summary: Powerful, yet Engrossing..
Review: Wow! After just finishing this book, I am breathless. This novel was ASTOUNDING. I had never read any of James Patterson's books, but I know that will change now. I loved the idea of twinning. Very well developed!
The story starts off when the Cross family finds that Alex's beloved neice has been abducted and "kidnapped", leaving the family in shambles. Alex Cross goes to investigate her kidnapping. As the story develops, Cross' only lead is Katelya MecTiernen, a beautiful medical intern that escaped from the "bad guys." I absolutely loved Kate's character. She is well written, and I love that fact that she could hold her own against intruders instead of the traditional idea of helpless women being taken without a fight.
The book progresses, taking the reader on a never-ending thrill ride, straight up to the very last page. It is scary, and I promise you that once you think the book is finished, you better think again! I definitely recommend this book to anyone.

Summary: Not for the squeamish
Review: I can't believe I read more than a quarter of this book before it became familiar. I had either read it before or more likely seen the film. I still finished the book even though I knew what was going to happen. That says a great deal for Patterson's style. He is totally absorbing I couldn't put it down. Cross is not the same as I remember so it was probably the film version I saw. I don't usually read a book when I have seen the film I find it spoils it. This book is total horror I was disappointed that the police couldn't identify the monsters. It was a tip from a reporter that led to the first one and they got it wrong twice before they caught the other. I'd have to give this book four screams.

Summary: My Introduction to Alex Cross
Review: This was the 1st James Patterson book that I read. I could not put it down (for very long). It got me hooked. I have read some of his other books that are not part of the Alex Cross series, but these are my favorites. I'm always looking for the next one...

Summary: The Book Is So Much Better Than The Movie!
Review: Fast paced, action packed, and hard to put down. The movie was nothing compared to the book!

Summary: decent
Review: This was a decent book as far as detective type thrillers are concerned. The reading was easy and interesting and I found myself curious as to who the killer was. Unfortunately, I knew who it was already, having seen the movie, but if you are able to forget that you will find it quite suspenseful. Cross creates characters with an emotional breadth and sensitivity that are surprising for novels of this type. I was assigned to read this book for my Reading Popular Fiction class at Syracuse University, we were supposed to notice how the female lead is a strong woman and how women's role in popular fiction has changed since trash like Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Personally I don't think Patterson gives a damn about women's role in fiction, he just wanted a smart sexy woman to pair up with his badass cop.

Summary: an absolute must read
Review: This is the best JAMES PATTERSON book to date. it is mysterious, compelling and terrifying. if you have read Gone But Not Forgotten, you will find it of that gendre.

i absolutely could not put this book down, nor could my husband. to try and tell you what the story is about would not do justice to this book.

i, without reservation, whole heartedly recommend this book to anyone who likes a good mystery.

Summary: "MAKES FOR SCARY NIGHTS"!!!
Review: Another good book by James Patterson about Alex Cross. This time there are two killers on the loose. On the West Coast and in North Carolina, however, they both end up in North Carolina. The Gentleman and Casanova are their names. This book is so scary, makes you want to look under your bed before going to bed at night. Who are these two men? You think you know but then you do not. This will hold you attention to the very end. I hated to put it down to do other things. If you like good mystery books you will like this one.

Summary: BETTER than along came a spider!
Review: OPINION: This is one of the first James Patterson novels I have ever read, and also one of the best. I loved this novel, it kept you at the edge of your seat. It was a non-stop thrill ride that never stopped. The only part I didn't like was at the end when they revealed the killer, the killer did not astonish me, because I didn't know who it was!!! But besides that this book was great.

WHAT IS THIS BOOK ABOUT???!??!?!: Kiss the Girls is another Alex Cross novel about a mad kidnapper/rapist who has kidnapped multiple girls and kept them all in a room. One of the girls is Naomi, Alex Cross's neice! since one of his family members was a victim Alex was even more detemined to find the killer...How dose he find the Killer...who is the killer..you'll have to read it and find out!!

Don't forget to vote YES if this review was helpful!

Summary: Another Great Book By Patterson
Review: My first Patterson book was 'Cat & Mouse' and I thoroughly enjoyed being scared out of my wits. I heard a lot about the video which is based on 'Kiss the Girls', so I thought I had better read the book before I watch the movie. Patterson does not disappoint! This book is every bit a thrill ride that 'Cat & Mouse' was and I couldn't predict the ending. There were too many twists in the plot to keep up with, which is a good thing, because it keeps you on the seat of your pants.

In this novel, there are two competing serial killers one on the west coast and one on the east coast and it is up to Alex Cross to find both of them before they each take their next victim. Alex is helped by a victim who escaped from Casanova to find the Gentleman Caller. As they come close to catching both, the suspense builds to a fervent climax and an unbelieveable ending. Very good book and I can't wait to see the movie.
