Rating: Summary: Truly memorable Review: Finally I've found Flat Stanley!! I read this wonderful book when I was a small child and was thrilled by Stanley's situation. In fact, it is one of the only stories I can still vividly recall from my TV-infested childhood. (And it still affects me-- to this day I have NEVER put a bulletin board above my bed or anything big for that matter!!!). As I grew older, I lost track of my copy of the book-- but would always ask friends if they remembered it when the converstation turned to children's literature. Surprisingly, not many people had heard of the story-- which, of course, inspired me to find the book and bring back a classic to my friends, nieces and nephews. So, I scoured bookstores old and new to find it. And I was without luck-- until now. With the help of my computer and Amazon.com I have, again, found Flat Stanley. So, I'm ordering a bunch of copies-- for myself and my family-- and I'm thrilled that Stanley will find a place once again on my bookshelf -- and will hopefully remain there for years to come. I can't wait for him to get here!!!

Rating: Summary: Amazingly imaginative and memorable! Review: Flat Stanley is a childhood favorite of mine. I find myself referring to it both to my friends and to my 4 year old students. The most memorable part for me is when Stanley gets packed up in an envelope and sent in the mail. Of course, there was just enough room for an egg salad sandwich! If only all of us could travel around the world that way! Flat Stanley was lucky, both to have had this type of experience for him to learn from, and to have a nice brother who helped him return to normal measurements!

Rating: Summary: Creative Review: Flat Stanley is a very creative book. I mean, it is not every day you read a book about a boy who turns flat. One day, Stanley wakes up to discover that his bulletin board fell on him that night. When Stanley's brother and parents lift the bulletin board off of Stanley, he is flat. Stanley is then taken to the doctor, but there was really nothing wrong with him. His parents decide to mail Stanley to California to be with his uncle. Stanley was used as a kite, and got stuck in a tree. Stanley was also used to help catch thieves at a nearby museum. After a while, people started to dislike Stanley because he was flat. To find out what happens to Stanley, you should definitely read this book. There are a few other adventures with Stanley to check out as well.
Rating: Summary: Flat Out Funny Review: Flat Stanley, by Jeff Brown, is in a class all of its own. A bulletin board falls on Stanley during the night and he is left flatter than a piece of paper. Not to worry though, Stanley finds all kinds of uses for being flat. He mails himself to relatives, (Much cheaper than traveling on a plane or bus. Stanley's father even praises the US Postal service for getting his son to his destination on time and safely) helps his mother retrieve a ring from the sewer by lowering himself through the grates on a string, and even helps catch a group of art thieves by inserting himself in a painting. Flat Stanley is a wonderful book for teaching children about how any obstacle can be overcome. The absurd humor and situations will have children in stitches. ...
Rating: Summary: Wonderful story to show how everyone is special. Review: I am a teacher and we use this book to discuss relationships with others who may be different than us. We also send our own Flat Stanley's through the mail to people we know. Then plot out on a map to show all the places Flat Stanley went and read all the things he did.
