Summary: "LIAR, LIAR", pants on fire...
Review: LIAR'S GAME wasn't the worst to come out of Eric Jerome Dickey, but it wasn't the best, either. Close to 30, Vince Browne goes club-hopping and meet the beautiful Dana, who eyes him and loves what she sees in return. While getting to know each other, Vince leaves and/or denies a few details that Dana would have found useful when deciding whether or not to spend time with him. Whether he had any children or had he had any significant relationship that could come back to haunt him were first and foremost in her mind. He reassures her "no", when the reality of the situation is that he not only has a child, but an ex-wife who cheated on him while they were married, and he still has an evil grudge. Don't feel so sorry for her, because she brings more excess baggage than Santa Claus, and she keep her mouth shut also. It's throughout this relationship that the truth seeps out in little quantities, until the point when the dam burst and the pasts of both our main characters are lying around their feet like debris. Whether they are able to pick up the pieces and put them together to fit or walk over and break them even further is for you to read, however, it won't be an easy job. Both of these characters are so fractured by their past that it kinda makes it very difficult to like each one, must less root for their love. For those who got thru it in less time, I applaude you, because I wasn't one of them.

Summary: What Can I Say?... EJD does it again!
Review: The only reason I rated this 3 stars instead of 4 stars is because I've been quite spoiled by reading EJD's other books. I am a truly, spoiled lady; and EJD made me that way. He is a woman's (and maybe a man's) novelist god!

I really liked the strife in the lead characters' relationship as it was raw and like something we've all felt during our young, heartfelt relationships. The fact that ex's and children were involved only made the story more real and complex... and more difficult to take sides.

I completely understood Vince's need to protect his child and ex-wife's 'memory' from his new woman, but also understood her frustration with his inability to let go of the past, make her queen, and continue with their own life, together.

The dips and turns made this book so real and so worth reading .... it was as if I was reliving parts of my own past.

Summary: Slow, couldn't even finish
Review: I got to the middle of this book and was still waiting for something to happen. A book needs to jump of within the 1st 30 pages. Halfway through this book, I still didn't know where it was going. I'm all for suspense, but it seems like Dickey was still deciding what he wanted to do with these characters. I probably will not finish this book.

Summary: I don't realy think this was good.
Review: I thought this book was going to better than this. I am a teenager and this is more of a adult book so I didn't really enjoy this. The book was really realistic in the way people deal with situations and jealousy was a big thing in the book. Jerome Dickey may be a good author but it didn't show in this novel.

Summary: Eye Candy
Review: Being that I'm a high school student, this book was very excellent considering I hadn't read a good book in a while. I went on a road trip I read the whole book in 9hrs. I let my friend borrow it and she also enjoyed it boy does this book keep you guessing and give's you different perspectives.

Summary: The Games we Play
Review: The things in this book was so true that it made you mad! After reading this book you realize that men and women are like two big kids in a candy store when it come relationships.

Part of you wanted the relationship to end, the other part of you wanted them to grow up and stop trying to take the easy way out of things.

One downfall was the story line of the wife (can't remember her name) going to poetry readings. Yuck. Waste of ink focusing on her and her boring marriage.

Summary: Not That Great
Review: I made it more than halfway through this book, so I guess that says something. I never finished however, so that says even more. This was the first EJD book that I didn't finish, and I didn't like. I didn't like the characters, and I didn't like that plot. For one, I thought everyone in the book was Bellvue crazy, and they needed to be locked up. I couldn't believe the antics that went on, and the way they acted. I was very surprised and shocked as I was reading this book. Maybe that was what EJD was going for, but I must say I didn't like that one bit. This was his first book that I bought and was mad for doing so. I would recommend getting this book from the library or buying it in paperback.
