Summary: Not My Favorite EJD Story!
Review: I am a huge fan of Eric Jerome Dickey, however, this novel was my least favorite. It was a title for my book club's February selection and the majority of the members were truly disappointed with the novel. Only one member truly loved the book. The writing wasn't the biggest problem. The character development was weak at best, usually reading EJD's main characters you feel some empathy for them. I found it hard to like Vince or Dana. The message of the book is truly an inspired one and makes the book worth reading yet you must get past the slow beginning. The story really gets interesting near the end if you can wait that long.

Every story cannot be great or perfect. This less than perfect story will not discourage me from reading future works of Eric Jerome Dickey.

Summary: The best book I have read so far!
Review: I highly enjoyed reading every page of Dickey's book, The Liars Game. It had twists and turns, that were unexpected and kept me guessing until the last page. I may be a novice at reading many novels but I have read my share, by Dickey, Cooper, Campbell, McMillian and others but the Liar's Game has them all beat. If you want an entertaining novel, that reads like watching a good movie, you should definitely give The Liars Game a try!

Summary: Choosy Lovers.....NOT
Review: Eric Dickey took his readers on a road trip out of this world! I never could imagine how much I would enjoy this book! The characters were just like they lived next door. His twists and turns, and unexpected surprises will have your mouth open...catching flies, bees, lent or whatever is flying in the air....because you will be in pure shock. "Oh no she didn't" "He did what!" "I would have never thought!" are just a few coined phrases I promise you- you will say before the book is completed. Excellence-**********10 stars Mr. Dickey **********10 stars

Summary: white girl floored
Review: As a big fan of Dickey for the last 5 years I must say his writing has greatly matured in this novel. I am always floored with the hardcore energy of his characters but found myself loving and hating these people. Though his style remains the same his books keep improving in depth and content. Never mind the sex!!!

Summary: They were together, but their hearts sang a different tune..
Review: Eric Jerome Dickey did a wonderful job writing this bold and sassy novel. Vincent and Dana started their relationship off with lies. Vincent was still in love with his ex wife therefore he could not love Dana 100% and Dana thinks by moving to a new city her love for her ex will be forgotten. NOT TRUE AT ALL. You see when you start off a new relationship and your heart is still with another it will never work. Your heart has to heal. You wonder why is he not being affectionate, why is she not giving me her all....why, why, why. Because their hearts are with someone else. This book is for all book lovers who is with someone physically, but not emotionally. I give this book five stars and a PLUS! Keep up the good work Eric Jerome Dickey! Two snaps and a hand clap. BRAVO!

Summary: The Games People Play
Review: E. Jerome, he's just the cutest brother, enough of that. I just put the book down. The only reason that I did that was because I was finished. Don't you just get tired of folks playing games? We find out that sometimes when we tell the truth, folks just can't accept it, so we decide to bennnnnnd the truth, just a lil'. That's what happened to Vince, tol' one sister the truth and she jetted, so he decided to make it 'look good' for the next sister. BIG mistake. One MAJOR omission of truth does not a good relationship make. It was as though he had just left out a chunk of his life, namely an ex-wife and a child. You know how it is when you run into friends and they don't know the lies you told, or what you DIDN'T tell and find yourself looking kinda' stupid? Vinces stuff started coming apart when an unsuspecting friend asked an innocent question. Now Dana, his love interest, wasn't coming correct either. Girlfriend had some skeletons rattling around in her closet too. Ex-boyfriends name 'is' Claudio. Now you'd think that 'ex' meant gone' past' finito, but things start popping up all over the place. Things start flyin', I mean that literally, and the ch*t really hits the fan. Girlfriend started trippen' off of boyfriends lie and forgot allllll about her own, go figure. The line, "if we had only talked like this before," says it all. Throw in some interaction with (i'd take a bullet for you) friends dealing with demons of their own and you've got major drama. Womack and Rosa Lee, married early with multiple 'chiren and a live in father/in-law and 'do you love me still' issues. Gerri and Jefferson with the usual $$$ issues and the 'older woman/younger man/don't play me' thang going on. Live and learn. Those old sayings, It hurts so good and Pain before pleasure, definitely do NOT come to mind in this relationship. The moral of this story is 'Be Up Front' and that AIN'T no fable. Oh yeah, brothers, when you finish reading this book, leave those crazy azz sisters alone and come on ova heah!

Summary: Playing Games Period
Review: I loved this read, once you tell the first lie, you have to keep lying in order to keep the first lie alive. I love the characters in the book. Eric picked real life characters to play their roles. I just didn't like the way it ended, it should have had a little more detail on what happened to the characters, who know maybe there will be a second part to the book. This book should be a movie.

Summary: Liars
Review: Sometimes if you lie it will come back and bite you in the butt. It was good but this author is lacking some kick. But I never knew that men could get so graphic, it made me think a little.

Summary: Just Starting...predicting I will love it!!
Review: Eric hasn't written back yet that I didn't enjoy. I just began reading "Liar's Game." Though I had it for a while...job, classes, and other life things...prevented me from getting started on it. Plus, I was finishing up on some other books I had started prior to this one. Now I am ready. I feel that from the data I've read already...I am sure and confident I will love it through to the end. Let's see...Monica

Summary: Enticing, Captivating, yet a bit too much psycho babble
Review: EJD is just about the most talented author to touch the face of this eart. Despite this book being a best seller, I found that this was not his strongest and best novel after reading all of his other books. For one, the book ended abruptly and when I was on the last word, ready to flip the page for more, there was nothing but previews to another book. BAM just like that it was over and I was left wanting for much more, a feeling that I hate to have at the end of books. In some parts of the book , he over elaborated on some points that wasn't interesting and did the complete opposite with subjects that were. But because I love this man's works, I kept on reading and despite some boring parts, he made up by coming up with a rather captivating chapter. It's not really a 'must read' but I would still recommend it.
