Summary: The Best Book Ever!
Review: Only Omar Tyree can do this again! From what my friends have told me. This is my first time reading one of Omar Tyree's book and I must say that this is a terrific book.
Just Say No! is a book that I would recommend to my family, friends at my church, and my friends at school. It is about these two boys from Charoltte, North Carolina. They were best friends since childhood. Their names were John and Darin. John was a momma's boy who grew up in liking music; and Darin is a average boy who got a old-fashioned southern training from his parents, who also grew up into liking football. John made it into the music business. When Darin injured his ankle during football practice, he decides to follow his friend and become his manager. Being in this game can direct someone into a path that they have not known it exist. That is what both John and Darin found out that has changed their lives forever.

Summary: Real and to the point
Review: I read well listed to this book on tape. It was wonderful. I tells it like it is and it makes you look differently at relationships. I liked it because it showed how when you become famous you begin to lose yourself. This is very true. When you look at all of the famous people that are "lost" and then are found you realize that you should just say NO. I'm telling you I went around singing just say NO NO NO, NO, No Nooooo. I plan to buy some of these to give out for this wonderful Holiday season. God Bless.

Summary: Great read!
Review: When I got this book I didn't expect it to be as long as it was, but I still finished it in one weekend. The characters were well-developed and the author did a great job of making things seem real. The story flowed well, and I really felt for the characters. I haven't read this author's other work, but I want to now. If you enjoy music, this book will give you a lot of insight on how things might be for your favorite artist. This book is culturally sound, not dumbed down for the mainstream, and even more respectable for that reason!

Summary: Great book
Review: I started to give up on Omar Tyree because I tried to read Sweet St. Lois but it just didn't grab me. Just Say No! was suggested to me by a co-worker so I decided to give him one more try and I LOVED this book. It seemed like it took me foever to read it but it was worh it. Few books have touched me the way this one did, it made me cry and even days after I had finished it I was still thinking about it. I think the story was told wonderfully by D the man next to tha man. The many ups and downs kept me wondering and hoping for a happy ending. Please don't sleep on this book, it is really a great one!

Summary: Just Say No
Review: I read Just Say No and A Do Right Man, while reading Just Say No I thought its was very interesting and I did not want to finish it to soon,it was so good the I wanted to keep reading for as long as I can. I never shed a tear over any books that I have read until this one, I was very much into Just Say No, it made you forget about everything and just wonder what was going to happen next, and it also had my mind wondering at first who was this book really about, because it reflected on so many artists out there that you almost wanted to know who is he talking about and what is the actual artist name.I recommend that Just Say No is a perfect stocking stuffer as well as A Do Right Man.

Summary: find out for yourself
Review: I was reading the reviews and was shocked as to how people felt about it. I read this book in 2 days because I couldn't put it down. I wish I had read it recently instead of Dec 2001 so that I could give more info, but nonetheless, to me this is one of Mr. Tyree's best works (and I did also dislike For The Love of Money)

Summary: Book-a-holic
Review: This book was off the chain!!! I have read all of Omar's books and was very disappointed in For The Love Of Money that is why I waited so long to read this one. I thought the book (Just say no) showed not only a person's love for music but love between two friends. When reading a story you must look at it from all directions. That way you can go where the author is trying to take you. Omar hat's off my brotha you did A fine job the book was kinda lenghty but every word had to be said. The true readers can testify to what I am saying. I cried at the end what a beautiful way to close out the story.

Summary: Just Say No!
Review: GREAT READ! I am not overly zealous about Omar Tyree's novels, BUT this one was hard to put down. It was a bit long (with all the lyrics and drum beats), but the life of the main character was fun to follow. It was easy to take sides with some characters while arguing with others. As reading should be...this was good entertainment!

Summary: Just say No
Review: I was very disappointed in this book. The beginning was interesting but then it became way to predictable. Also Tyree is not a very savvy writer...his books are about 200 pages to long. He should try adn get the details in wiht out all the meaningless dialogue.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Nice try
Review: Good concept but poor execution. The book had some interesting insights into the music business but was too long. Tyree's imitation of drum beats quite annoying and almost made me put the book down!
