Summary: Should Have Done Her Homework
Review: After reading several political books this summer and recently reading Al Franken's book, I took a chance and read "Slander". My only question is -- how did this ever make it to print?

I took Al's advice and looked through her end notes and did a little research myself. Her documentation is ludicrous. If an average citizen can spend a few minutes researching some of her end notes and find them to be false, or in many case, took quotes out of context from the articles she references, then I ask -- does her publisher have a fact-checking team or do they simply not care that this woman wrote a book of half-truths, innuendo and out-and-out lies?

She continually bashes "liberals" for doing exactly what she has done in this book. The difference between when liberals criticize and Ann Coulter bashes? The liberals can present you with true documentation to back up their statements.

Everything she maintains the left is guilty of - she is guilty of herself. She ought to be ashamed of this piece of trash. Even more so, I certainly hope her publishers did some fact-checking on her more recent book or they should be even more ashamed.

Summary: "F" for effort and lucidity
Review: This book again provides evidence that the extreme right wing cannot present their ideas coherently: most conservatives like myself are a much too intelligent to read, or buy, this junk. If this book had been submitted to any university professor, it would have been given an F for research, organization and logic. It contains an absurd and incoherent mixture of conflicting positions and muddled ideologies. This is the same lack of logic the brings together in the extreme liberal camp abortion-rights supporters & anti-death-penalty advocates. At least the Pope is ideologically consistent in this case: he advocates both an anti-abortion and an anti-death penalty platform. Either all life is sacred or it is not.

Coulter, by writing (sloppily) such a vitriolic piece of propaganda is certainly no spokesperson for conservative thought. This is not the approach of someone wishing to discuss issues and persuade the open-minded. It is a marketing ploy to get the naive and uncritical reader to make a knee-jerk purchase of a unbelievably badly written book. If you want to read about conservative thought, start with Conservative Mythology and Public Policy in America, by Arnold Vedlitz and The Meaning of Conservatism, by Roger Scruton. You can also try The Killing of History: How Literary Critics and Social Theorists are Murdering Our Past, by Keith Windschuttle, which helps explain how everyone (right to left) is distorting history to fit ideologies.

Summary: This woman is not a journalist
Review: This woman is a cruel, sadistic liar. She attacks and lies attacks and lies and attacks and lies and she never stops. Reading her book you get the impression that Hitler's Propaganda Minister isn't really dead. He just had a sex change and now he looks like a Playboy model.

Of course her friends are hate-filled sadists like the Reverend Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson, so we shouldn't be surprised. Should we?

I'm a strong believer in Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press, but some people abuse that freedom. Telling lie after lie after lie after lie after lie is NOT what freedom of the press was supposed to be all about.

If this woman had any ethics she would feel shame for the lies she's told and the smear tactics she's used.

I'd like to know how her publishing house even justified publishing such a work of hatred and deception.

Summary: Ann is Right!
Review: If you want proof that Ann is right, just compare the reviews by Booklist for the liberal wind bag Franken
"you'll love comedian and writer Franken's pin pricking of one particular bag of hot air."
and
" Funny would probably be enough here, but Franken's book is more. He also offers plenty of solid information--from the maligned liberal position, for a change--about GOPAC, the economy, health care, and other issues of the day. Watch out, Republicans--Franken proves humor is the best revenge."

Wonder why Franken's book is well written and Ann Coulter is rabid??
Could it be media bias?

Summary: hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Review: It's great. It's incredibly funny. Coulter's biased monologue is so unbalanced, it makes for wonderfully hilarious reading. Seriously, liberals will love the book because it's so incredibly stupid, and conservatives will because they think it'll make their points look valid. I recomend this book for anybody and everybody. Follow her footnotes and you'll see what i mean. lol. Buy it.

Summary: how will Ann feel.....
Review: In all fairness to my review, I have not read this book, so I suppose I shouldn't even submit a review. But I believe I've seen and heard enough of Ann's angle over the past years to have something meaningful to add. I'm quite certain that I'd rate this book fewer than 3 stars if I actually read it, but to read it would mean having to buy it and I really don't want to give Ann or her publishers that satisfaction.

My point is this: how will Ann, and people of her ilk, feel when they are on their deathbeds in 30, 40, 50 years? Isn't it sad that she'll most likely feel no small amount of regret that she subordinated her intelligence (obviously, she has some intelligence to be articulate enough to make her emotionally unhealthy observations) to a bad or selfish will? No doubt some of the readers of this book truly believe it aims at telling the truth. And although they can't be fully excused for this, their case is much less shameful than the cases of people who are educated enough to know better and still continue to spit misinformation at a time when the US...no, no, no.....the world, seems to deserve (demand?) much, much more from its citizens.

Summary: Slander: The Title Says It All
Review: The aptly named "Slander" is a filthy bag of lies by an author who once told a reporter "My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is that he did not go to the New York Times building". That quote alone should tell us something about this woman. Ann Coulter is a glaring hypocrite.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A very entertaining and intelligent book.
Review: Ann is one of the smartest people on the talk show beat; and this is an excellent book. Her documentation is thorough and arguments infallible. I highly recommend it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Finally, someone who is not afraid to take on liberals!
Review: Ann Coulters rapier wit, sarcasim and sense of humor really hits the liberl media where it hurts. If you don't believe it, read some of the reviews of this book by the liberal press.

The book is well documented. Don't let the quotes taken out of context from the liberal reviewers give you the impression that Ann is some kind of a right wing wacko. What's sad is that Ann's revelations about the democrats and the liberal media that supports them are only the tip of the iceberg.

This is a great read. You won't want to put it down.

Summary: Go, Save the Queen
Review: Ann is a scary woman. The fact that people out there like this actually get to vote explains how Bush got into office. Run and hide people! THIS is Right Wing propaganda. The basic message is that Liberals are idiots and it's good to be greedy and selfish as long as you thump a Bible every once in a while. I love America!
