Rating: Summary: So touching and sweet!!! Review: The first time I read this book, I couldn't finish because I started to cry. When I saw the man rocking his mother, that did it! I recommend getting this book to share with your whole family.
Rating: Summary: Beautiful! Review: All I can say is this is a beautiful story, my 4 year old snuggled up and asked me to read it again, eventually repeating the song herself and smiling as I told her she'd always be my baby (as we snuggled her baby sister). Its sweet and made me want to cry, smile and hug my children forever and ever.
Rating: Summary: Amusing reviews, sweet tale Review: It is wonderfully amusing reading the negative reviews. (Bizarre is a favorite word) It's a metaphor. It ain't Proux. It's not even Wolf. Wasn't meant to be. Enjoy it. Hug your child. I did.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Book Review: This book was given to me as a gift after the birth of my second son. I now have three sons. This is the most heartwarming, endearing book I have ever read. I can't read it to my sons without crying. It makes you realize how precious life really is. My boys are my world and to some of you if that makes me a sick person so be it. I can't believe how people have taken something so beautiful and tried to ruin it. The love between a mother and son is precious, my boys are all mommas boys. We read this book all the time, they each have their own copy. Someday when they have kids of their own they will read to them as I have done. To the writer of this book you are to be commended. This is the best book my children and I have ever had the pleasure of reading. I wish there were more books like it.
Rating: Summary: It really rates five THOUSAND stars! Review: A few short years ago I was caring for my elderly mother, frail from Parkinson's Disease, at the same time I was raising two young children. My mother had become so thin that I could lift her almost the same as I lifted my children. I put her to bed every night, as I did my chldren, and after taking great care to adjust her pillow, I would spend some time just staring into her deep blue eyes and she would look at me and softly say "I love you, I love you, I love you," before drifting off to sleep. "Love You Forever" is a true story. It's the story of how my mother grew old and became a child again and loved me through it all, and how my children are getting bigger now and how even I am getting older, and how I will love them forever, wherever they are in the whole wide world, the same way my mother loved me, even when she was old and frail. If I had thought to do so, I would have read this book at my mother's funeral. (I am touched to see that another reader did just that.)I read this book to my children when they were little, but they were too young to understand. (You see, it is not a children's book at all.)When my children are grown - or at what seems to be the right time - I want them each to have a copy of this tender metaphor of parent love.
Rating: Summary: great book for small childern Review: we read this book to our grandchild, she loves it . she will repeat the verse with us . i think it is a great inspiration for young readers for all ages.
Rating: Summary: I haven't met anyone who doesn't love this book Review: I have had this book in my house for over ten years, and both my daughters, ages seven and ten, have always loved it. That's the only book the three of us still read together. We say the phrase in the book to each other all the time.
Rating: Summary: I've read this book a hundred times, it still gets to me! Review: After I read this book for the first time, I gave it to my wife, who cried and said that it was depressing! I told her that maybe she was missing the point, this book celebrates life, and only a parent can relate to this book. I can't think of another book that gets to me so much, is it wrong for a grown man to cry? A Masterpiece!
Rating: Summary: Oh, so sweet.. Review: My MOM had told us (her kids) about this book for years. She explained that it was a touching story detailing the love of a mother for her child. We always laughed when she told us it made her cry. Until....my older brother graduated from school. A tough guy, with no need for family, he wasn't close to our family. After graduation, my mother gave him this book as a present and left the room crying. Confused, my brother read the book, got tears in his eyes, got up and went to give my mother a hug. It was the greatest "thank you" she ever got. It's now become a tradition for all of us to get the book upon graduation. Each time the gift is received, we shed a few tears.
Rating: Summary: The Best Book at Amazon.com? Review: This could well be the most important book carried by Amazon. It captures the essence of unconditional love, reminds the reader that children behave as well as they are treated, and that they will treat their parents later as they themselves were treated in the earliest years. I love this book with all my heart.
