Review: I hardly ever write reviews, but I just had to share how absolutely wonderful this CD is. My 2-year-old and 3-year-old ask for it every day and dance to it like crazy. As other reviewers have noted, the music is great and won't get on your nerves. We used to only listen to "The Wiggles" and this is a great change of pace. The lyrics are smarter and the music rocks!

Review: We have been big fans of Sandra Boynton's terrific children's books at our house for years, so I had high hopes for this book and music.

Philadelphia Chickens exceeded those hopes. These songs are *wonderful*, and riff on every genre from Swing to Gilbert and Sullivan. If you are, or know, or have ever been a kid, buy this book and CD, or at least the CD, right now.

Summary: Wonderful for parents and kids
Review: I bought this when my daughter was 3 months old - she is now 11 months old and it is a must-listen on every long car trip (we take many to visit the relatives!) I must admit that my favorite is Snuggle Puppy -- even as a crying infant, this song soothed her when I held her and sang it to her. I think it is truly "our song" and I'm getting the book by the same name for her 1st birthday. When the song starts she quiets down to listen to it, no matter what she is in the middle of. I strongly recommend this disc for parents looking for something quirky and fun, and not your "usual" kiddie songs. Other favorites: Walk like a Duck, the Belly Button Song, the Cookie song...and on and on!

Summary: The best gift my daughter has ever received!
Review: The best thing I can say about this music is that my husband and I both enjoy it immensely. Our 16 month old daughter loves music, and her collection tends to wear on our nerves eventually. But Philadelphia Chickens is funny, catchy and varied, and we find ourselves happily humming the tunes even when it's not playing. When our daughter hears us humming, she points at the stereo to request that we play the actual cd. She typically sways to any music, but Philadelphia Chickens motivates her to practice more enthusiastic dance steps.

We recently had several children, ages 14 months to two years, over for Halloween. We turned on the cd, and every one of the kids stopped what they were doing and started to dance. What could be more fun than watching all of that enthusiasm in one room? This cd is a sure hit with toddlers!

Review: When I first listened to this CD, I thought it was amusing, but I had no idea that "Cows" would become my 14 month old daughter's favorite song. She smiles and dances and wants to listen to it over and over. She also loves We Like To Snooze, Snuggle Puppy, I Like To Fuss, Philadelphia Chickens, and several others. This is a fabulous CD/Book - and I highly recommend it to all toddlers. The smiles you will get will make you laugh for a long, long time - and the dancing that goes along with it is precious!
