Summary: If you have kids, you need this book/cd!
Review: This was the best purchase I've made in ages! The songs are fun, the musicianship is impressive, the lyrics are silly and sweet and the illustrations are adorable. Kids and adults alike will love this homage to all different styles of music. My 17 month-old daughter could listen to it over and over again - and I don't mind letting her! She dances as soon as we put it on and doesn't stop until it's over. You can't beat this one for your budding music lover. I wish Sandra Boynton and Michael Ford would put out a series of these!

Summary: ENTERTAINING FOR ALL AGES
Review: My 2 year old loves this CD and accompanying book, and truthfully so do I. The songs sound like a broadway production, but are made to be clever and entertaining for young children. I had to buy two, one for home and one for the car. When my 2 year old says "Cow Song" I know just what she's looking for. And she has to hear it over and over again. The songs are adorable and the lyrics are easy to follow. You can't help but sing along. I like the fun diversity of the song topics. My husband and I find ourselves singing the songs even when the CD is not playing. I think any child would enjoy this CD as it is a wonderful departure from the old standard music. It is enjoyable for all ages. We all love it!

Summary: Sandra Boyton and music: a winning combination!
Review: This wonderful book/CD set combines the marvelous graphics and storytelling of Sandra Boyton with fun songs by performers as diverse as the Bacon Brothers and Meryl Streep. Boyton's witty style has no rival, and the wonderfully upbeat music makes this set something that the youngest of children and the oldest of parents can truly enjoy together.

Summary: Oh what fun!
Review: We absolutely love this book and CD! My nine-month old son thinks that it is the best thing since sliced bananas! We bought it for a road trip when he was five-months old and we have been dancing and singing ever since. If this becomes a traveling musical, we are there. My husband and myself find ourselves singing and dancing along while our son enjoys the show from his high chair. He has his favorites, "Cows", "Philadelphia Chickens" and "Pajama Time" but truly loves the entire CD. Sandra Boynton has always been a favorite of ours, with her whimsical cards and books, but this takes the cake. She and Michael Ford, as well as the performers, have created a masterpiece to be enjoyed by all.

Summary: Flipped out and Fun
Review: I have a 5- and 3-year-old and have owned many children's CDs in my short life as a mom. This CD/Book combo, given to us as a gift by my mother-in-law, has been a huge hit in our household since Day 1. It captures the silliness and rhyming pace of Boynton's books, with a dazzle of celebrity cacophony that will keep you entertained every time you listen. To hear Kevin Kline, Kevin Bacon & the Bacon Brothers, Patti LuPone, Meryl Streep and others belt it out with the exceptionally well-trained voices of aardvarks and pigs and the like -- it's truly a hoot and holler (to add to the soundtrack, if I may).Since we received it over the holidays, the kids have insisted we listen to it in the car, at home, and everywhere there is a place to play this CD. Usually I would cringe having to listen to a kids' CD over and over, but instead my husband and I have picked our favorites as have our kids, and we take turns playing the favs and then going back to the others when we need a break from fav overplay. So far we haven't tired of it. It keeps you dancing and tapping your toes (as well as the occasional chuckle). Sandra Boynton and friends have created another masterpiece. Bravo and keep 'em coming!

Review: This is the BEST! Funny at many levels; fun music, silly lyrics. And knowing that people like Kevin Kline and Meryl Streep are singing makes it even funnier. Buy it! Give it as a gift! Enjoy!

Summary: Spectacular family music
Review: This is the best music CD for families I've ever found. The music is fun, mostly swing-influenced, and subtly funny. My 4-year-old son constantly requests to hear "Figadebby Chickens", even though he has to hear "Cows" first for his life to be complete. He sings along to every song, dances when we're at home, and generally loves it. My 1-year-old bounces up and down and cackles while he listens and watches his big brother. I sing "Snuggle Puppy" to the baby as I put him to sleep. I tell every family I know about Philadelphia Chickens, just because I love it so much. It has actually spurred an interest in music in my older son. I can't give it higher praise than that. ...

Summary: Great for parents as well as kids
Review: My brother-in-law and wife gave this to our ten month old daughter. She enjoys listening to it, and really enjoys listening to her mom and dad sing and dance along to the music. This really is enjoyable for parents as well as kids. Our personal favorite is snuggle puppy.

Review: This was a gift and we have listened to it only a few times because no one in the family thinks much of it. We have a lot of great kids CDs--e.g, Buzz Buzz Buzz (Laurie Berkner), Dan Zanes, Ralph's World, Trout Fishing in America--but there is nothing much compelling about the music here to hook you.

Review: The clever lyrics and variety of music on this CD make it one of the best "kid" CD's we own. My husband HATES having to listen to "kiddie" music on long trips, but actually requests this one. There's nothing more adorable than a two - year old trying to sing "Sguggle Puppy". Sandra Boynton and Michael Ford do a great job again in producing a product the whole family can agree on.
