Rating: Summary: kids love the delightful rhymes and illustrations Review: As a substitute teacher, I've read this board book to hundreds of children 5-8 years old, and they all loved it, esp. the "three singing pigs sing La, La, La!" I own half a dozen or more of Sandra Boynton's books, and this is still my favorite. I buy copies of it for nieces and nephews and friends' children. It is always enjoyed.
Rating: Summary: A "la-la-LOT" of Laughs! Review: I remember hearing a pregnant friend of mine talking about trying to find this book several years ago. I thought she was insane..."Moo, Baa, La-la-la"...WHAT??? Now I know. I got this for my daughter and started reading it to her when she was only a few months old. It's one of her favorites...and mine! She even "reads" along now. Although she's tried to nibble on it, it's almost indestructible.
Rating: Summary: A totally captivating book for anyone who reads it Review: This is the first of Sandra Boynton's books which I purchased for my granddaughter. Since that purchase I have obtain all of her books and my granddaughter loves every one of them. You can read them all over and over and she never gets tired of hearing them. She has enjoyed them so much that I intend to obtain doubles to make sure my second granddaughter has the same enjoyment too.
Rating: Summary: It will have the reader giggling along with the kids. Review: A must if you love reading to kids
Rating: Summary: Simply a wonderful book! Review: I received this book as a gift 3 years ago. My oldest daughter just beamed the second moo-baa-la-la-la came out of my mouth! It never failed, if she was crying or throwing a tantrum once she got older, it always changed her mood! I got to the point that I didn't have to have the book to recite it, it had such catchy wording that you can memorize easily. Now my 11 month old does the same when I recite it to her. My 3 year old has also memorized the book and recites it to her sister! I would recommend this as something that is a must have!
Rating: Summary: Oh, the memories!! Review: My oldest son received this book on his first birthday as part of a set of Boyton books (each of them wonderful in their own way). However, this book stood out from the rest and 'Moo Baa La la la' has become an absolute classic story in our home.
How many times did I read it to him? Well, let's just say I will begrdugingly admit to having hid this book in the sofa cushions more than once just to get a break!
My oldest son is almost 11 years old now and I can still recite the entire book from memory. I'm also proud to say that my urges to hide it for a reprieve are now past and I can cherish the memory of my sweet little wide-eyed boy anxiously waiting for me to ask him the grand finale question, "What do YOU say?"
If you'd like to help build fond memories, share humor and expand a young mind, give this book to any child, parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle or parent-to-be.
Rating: Summary: The Best Board Book! Review: We just love this book! My now 8 month old daughter calms down whenever she hears "A cow goes Moo!" She loves hearing all the fun animal sounds and quite honsetly- its fun for us parents to make 'em!. The whole family knows it by heart. This is a great book to read before bedtime or anytime. If you're looking for a book for a baby that will keep her attention and yours, I highly recommend Moo Baa La La La!
Rating: Summary: A MUST HAVE!!! Review: My daughter loves this book and so do I. We have had this book for a couple of months now and we read it all the time. She loves the animals and the noises we make while reading it to her. A must have to add to your child's book collection.
Rating: Summary: Just plain fun! Review: This is one of the books our 18-month-old turns to again and again, and she has a pretty big variety from which to choose. A parent with any ability to mimic animal sounds will soon become the last word in entertainment in his/her child's eyes, thanks to this book.
Rating: Summary: ANOTHER GEM FROM SANDRA Review: Sandra Buynton's books for youngsters are among the best in the business. She has a distinctive and silly illustration style that reminds me of Sunday morning comic strips along with very witty, yet fun and simplistic rhyming texts that kids love.
Moo Baa LA la la teaches kids about the sounds animals make. My two year old had already learned about animal sounds and loved to make them but when he go this book he really loved it still. he loves to chime in and say the sounds and repeat them back to us. it's one of the first books he grabs to read at story time. He gets a kick out of the words and pictures. Sandra Reall knows her stuff.
