Summary: Have you ever read a book told in two prespectives?
Review: Different perspectives let the reader know the different feelings of each character. In "Flipped" by Wedelin Van Draanen, the book is told in two perspectives of Juliana and Bryce. The new boy, Bryce, hates Juliana, the girl who lives across the street. She is in love with him, and she tries everything from talking to him, to giving him chicken eggs to make him like her. I would recommend "Flipped" because the book is so much like reality. The book shows how one could like someone so much; they would pretty much do anything to make one like them back. Another reason I would recommend the book is because its sadly comical, both Juliana and Bryce were clueless about each other. Finally "Flipped" is told in two perspectives, which makes the book easier to understand.

Reading books you can relate to, you usually find interest in reading. Many people can relate to liking someone and not have them liking you back. No matter how much Juliana liked Bryce he did not seem to like her back. One day Juliana found the eggs she gave Bryce in the garbage and she got offended. She stopped talking to him. Bryce tried to start talking to her again; was it because he missed the attention, or was he starting to like her?

The second reason I would recommend "Flipped" is because it is sadly comical. Both Juliana and Bryce were clueless about each other yet they had total different opinions. Bryce's opinion about Juliana was unclear at first. He did not like her, but he liked when she talked to him. Juliana's opinion about Bryce was that he was a nice guy that she liked a lot.

The last reason you should read "Flipped" is because the author told the book in two perspectives. Reading a book that is told in two point of views may help the readers understand the book better and the characters personality and feelings. For example: the book tells the story in Bryce's perspective and then Juliana's perspective.

You should read "Flipped" because you can relate to the conflicts that happen in the book to yourself in everyday life, the book is sadly comical, and because the different perspectives make the book much easier to understand. My favorite part in the book was when the men wanted to cut down the tree but Juliana would not let them. That event was my favorite part because you were able to see how one girl could have so much courage and stand up for something she believes in. I would recommended "Flipped" to any teenager who likes to read about relationships and the problems people go through to try and make someone like them.

Summary: Crushing on Flipped
Review: Do you like romantic books? Do you like books so realistic that you can imagine that you're right there? If you do, Flipped by Van Draanen, is a great book to read. This story is all about teenagers dealing with their differences and exploring their compassion for each other. These teenagers- Juliana and Bryce- aboard an emotional rollercoaster, throughout this book. You might think Flipped is a typical romance, but there is so much more to it than just that. You should read Flipped because it is very easy to relate to, and it was a great teenage romance story. There was only one reason why I didn't like this book. That was because the very end wasn't so great, and I wish there was more to it.
Relating to a book makes it really fun to read. Flipped was easy to relate to because it's all about having a crush on someone and seeing how far they will go to have the other person notice them or even like them back. Almost every person from young ages, up had a kind of crush like Juliana and Bryce, I know I have. This book was so great because while you read Bryce's thoughts and feelings, you might agree or remember a time when that happened to you. After reading Bryce's perspective on some events, you then read Juliana's. While you do that, you understand how she is going through and feel sorry for her. You might also say how you know exactly how she feels, or that you were in that position too.
I normally don't like to read, unless they are exactly what kind of book I like. I usually fall in love with romance books, or diaries. Lucky for me, Flipped had both. Being a teenager myself, it was great to read a teenage romance story. This kind of book was easier to realize what was going on, or understand how people felt. Flipped is great, because after reading what happens after everything, you realize how fun it was to read. One example is when Juliana talks about how she wants Bryce to notcie her, but everything she tries doesn't work. Sometimes, I feel the same way, and it is a nice feeling to read something and know what they mean.
Although I loved this book so much, there was one problem about it that I didn't like. In my opinion, the very end should have had more to it. The book was good, and the point got across, but if there was just another paragraph or page, it would have been great. The end didn't really explain everything that just happened, and I wish it would have.
Flipped is a great book to read for many reasons like it was easy to relate to, and it was a great teenage romance story. Although there was one thing I didn't like, the very end, the book turned out very good. If I was allowed to add something to the book in any way, I would make the ending a little bit longer. My favorite part in this book was when I understood the meaning of the title. After reading Juliana and Bryce's opinions, it was great to look at everything and get into a good mood. Anyone that had a crush on someone, or felt a way different from the other person liking them would like this book. More teenagers would like this book than any other age group. That is because Flipped is about teenagers, and their feelings.

Summary: ~flipped~
Review: Author Wendelin van Draanen does an awesome job with this romantic comedy. Eighth grade characters Juli Baker and Bryce Loski go head to head in this novel that has the ability to give you both sides of the story. This book is great since it connects with both younger and older teens. It has the ability to give you that feeling of being in middle school again and having that ultimate first crush that you could never forget as well as that first kiss you had always dreamed of. I highly recommend this novel for anyone who has ever had a first crush that they just couldn't understand even as they got older.
