Rating: Summary: Questions about website design? Here are the answers! Review: I bought the book on saturday ... and on sunday I started to redesign my website! Many thanx to David Siegel!
Rating: Summary: It's a best. Review: I love this book. It's really include best design tips and tricks. You must try it.
Rating: Summary: My dog and I liked looking at the pretty pictures! Review: this book wasn't very helpful at all except that it gave me some examples of good web sites but didn't tell you how to reproduce it. waste of 50 bucks. i think of it more as a coffee table book, not something that you learn from.
Rating: Summary: The Best Web Design Book Ever! Review: This should be the first book any web designer reads! Siegel gives readers a vision as to how great their site can be. Once we know what we want to do the rest is easy. Two huge thumbs up and five massive stars. He left me inspired!
Rating: Summary: Oh come on!... Review: This is the BEST web reference. There is no doubt. And, no, I don't know the author. But I would have to say that this book singlehandedly changed my view of the web (and, luckily, my designs). Buy it or weep!
Rating: Summary: Good book for those wanting to design sites that draw people Review: The book is definitely a great book to read if your web site needs help. The book shows great examples, detailed explanations about browsers, CSS, etc. The book is not a technical explanation book, but rather a referrence guide to those who lack ideas in third generation site development.
Rating: Summary: Inspired me to create an award! Review: After reading David's instructions, not only did it open my eyes to the beauty of these type of sites, but it also inspired me to create an award to give out to those web developers who have taken the extra bit of time to enhance their website to this level.
Rating: Summary: Excellent book on design - Above Average tech book Review: I am getting ready to buy this book after looking over a borrowed copy from a friend. I agree that it is NOT a book on HTML, CGI, or anything like this, but it is an excellent resource for an engineer type that can figure these things out, but needs a nice visual handbook on designing web sites. Can other people do better, yes, but there is a large group of people that can learn a great deal from this book and build upon what it teaches.
Rating: Summary: Excellent, a Must Review: If You have this book, Flanagan's JavaScript, Goodman's Dynamic HTML (Both published by O'Reillys's) Corel Draw 8 or Photoshop, I suppose that You have everything that You need to create a killer Website. The technical excellence of O'Reilly's "Zoo series" and this style guide make a neccesary combimnation for creating commercial grade Websites. Excellent is a modest defination of Siegel's great work.
Rating: Summary: A must-read for any web site designer. Review: This is a superior book, with a depth of knowledge that reflects Mr. Siegel's experiences in both design and on the Web. The book provides rationalization, specific direction, and plentiful examples for anyone who cares about making a well-designed site. Further, it just a plain "good read" for anyone acquainted with the Internet.
