Review: This book is a MUST for any web designer

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellence in preperation, delivery, and content.
Review: David has captured Intelligence, Art, and Humor in "Creating Killer Web Sites". It unfolds from cover to cover like a creatively prepared meal. Course by course he keeps your interest as he introduces you to new tastebuds. 5 stars from me!!

Summary: A fantastic resource to be used over and over
Review: I found this book to not only be very useful, but very inspirational, as well. There are many, many great ideas and examples to work with and many to just contemplate. I was a novice web designer when I started, but this book really motivated to develop my skills and think about the web as more than just where I place my site...great great great!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Sage, sound, sanguine...
Review: "Ahhhh," I sighed, as I first came across the author's web site--it was so very nice to see great design on the web. His book echoes his site and gives readers a glimpse into the mind of an accomplished artist. Is his tone arrogant? Gosh, what a rarity in the world of site development! I can't wait for the next edition...

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Thousands of web sites would benefit from these suggestions.
Review: Having designed web sites for five years, here's my two cents: There is no better way to get rid of the annoying elements of your web site than following David Siegel's advice.

His 'tricks' are worth mastering. His 'design advice' is worth following. And his writing style steps you through each paragraph with anticipation of what's to come.

From fonts to overlays, grammar to control, every aspect of site design is covered. Everything you need is here.

Summary: Great - He's the one who changed the Web!
Review: It's a really great book - I'm sure that I've learned a lot - he describes how to make sites looking better and how to build great images. I read it three times, just to get sure that I did not forget a thing. Sorry when my English is not very good - I'm from Austria. So buy it - it will help you!

Summary: Awesome
Review: I found creating Killer Web Sites Second Edition Awesome. I have been creating corporate sites now for two years and have a wealth of knowledge behind me. I found this book inspiring and it helped me redesign the way I attack a project. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone who wants to know what a web site is really made up of.

Summary: This book was confusing, not to the point
Review: I could not use this book. It did not start with the end product and show how to get there, a good Web page. I could not but get the feeling that the author just wanted to publish a book. Somehow I got that 'Bait and Switch' feeling.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: How to do it wrong - with style
Review: Siegel's book is great for designers. If the only people using the web were designers, I would have given it 5 stars. Lots of information, lots of tips, severely misguided. The problem is, most web users don't give two hoots about over-designed-but-slow-and-really-really-unusable web sites. I gave it an extra star for effort. My suggestion, memorize everything in this book - then do precisely the opposite of everything you learned.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not for beginners
Review: You really need to be at least an intermediate user of PhotoShop and HTML before you read this book. If you're not, you probably won't understand what the author is talking about. However, once you have those behind you, the book is very informative.
