Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not for beginners
Review: I personally think this book is good for ASP people that have the basic understanding of ASP and wish to go to the next level.

I learned ASP from scott mitchell(learn in 21 days)...which taught me the basics.

When I read Greg's book, it taught me how to think out advanced techniques of using ASP.

I enjoyed it alot.

Summary: FROM NOVICE TO EXPERIENCED, THIS WILL WORK FOR YOU!
Review: I purchased this book, along with the ASP Developers book, and both have helped my programmers and myself become much better at developing interactive Websites. This is a wonderful development tool for the beginner as well as the moderately experienced programmer. In addition, if I had questions that weren't in the book, I emailed Greg directly and he answered promptly.

Most of the scripts in this book are simple cut(or type) and go. I don't think that I have run into a problem yet!

A must have for anyone wanting to become a better programmer.

Summary: I have nothing good to say about it.
Review: This is one of the very few books that I feel I got absolutely NOTHING to learn from. The book is full of useless scripts of the worst kind. You will learn absolutely nothing from it. If You need pre-written scripts, there are 100's of web pages out there that will give You much better scripts for free. I'm sorry, but I don't find anything good to write about this book. Sad, but true.

Summary: Hit the ground running with this great book!
Review: I bought this about a year ago when I was first learning ASP. I was the newly hired Web Admin of our company and didn't have a lot of experience. I'm now using several of the scripts on our intranet with very positive results, most notably the online suggestion box. This book is crammed with great scripts and great explanations of the code. The author even responded to my Email! If you're a beginner to semi-pro and you want to get scripts up and running quickly (to impress the boss, of course) this is the book for you!

Summary: Examples work
Review: I read a lot of book on this subject. They gave me a good background, but when you need to start coding it is different. Mr. Buczek's books are perfect learning tool. Step by step, with full explanations you will see how real world ASP apps are written. I like learn from examples. This book really helps and I higly recommend it. I emailed the author with question and got a response the very next day. That means a lot to me.

Summary: Total Garbage
Review: This book is the worst waste of time. The scripts in here are lousy examples if how to program correctly and even though they are totally simplistic bush-league drivel most of them don't even work properly. Some of the scripts are no more than 10 lines of code and at that they don't even work properly.
No of the examples are plug-n-play... there is always a little something which doesn't work properly. My biggest complaint is that these are not "true" applications. Most of them don't have insert-update-delete backends to them... it's all just front-end show.

This book is worse than useless... it's dangerous to learn proper programming.

Summary: Incredible Resource
Review: I know a little about ASP but just couldn't figure out what to do with it. In very little time, this book showed my how to apply ASP to add some really cool stuff to the sites I manage. The book is making me look really good to my customers.

Summary: Stay away!
Review: This book is jumpy, and makes very rough and incomprehensive transitions from simple topics to more complicated ones. Very inconsistant, and often times, incorrect use of terms, which can really throw you off when you're trying to learn a programming language. The worst part is that the author does not explain many parts of the code that for some reason, he assumes you already know. One thing I've learned from these reviews, is to not just look at the rating, but also reviews that cover aspects that are important to you. The high ratings from this book came mostly from more experienced programmers that just needed a reference or some quick scripts. The bad reviews came mostly from begginers who quickly turned away by the author's vague tone. Judging by the title, and even the first chapter, this book markets itself as a beginner's tool which it is not. I picked up Sams Teach Yourself Active Server Pages in 21 Days, and it's a much better publication.
